Bonds bearing' i:~terest a~ the rate of ~ per een~ per ~n~, payable on or before l0 years from date of issuance, shall be-issued in paymen~ of ~he cost and expense, of said improvement, which bonds shall be redeemed by ~he collection of special assess~mn~s ~o be levied and assessed upon ~he proper~y within the said dis- StieS, payable in 8 equal installmen:;s, with interes$ at the r~:~e of 7 per cent per a~um, under the mode of "~ayment by Bonds," as defined by law and Ordin~ce of She City of Bremertoa. ~hese bonds shall be delivered $o the contractor in the redemp- ~ion of warrants on the Local Improvemea~ District fund issued o~ ~he estimate of ~he City ~n~ineer, o~' ~he Oi~y of Bre~er~on may at i~s election sell the said bonds and ~ke such redemptio~ ia cash.
