thereof." Providing for the disposal of garbage and rubbish collected by the Garbage
Collector, be depositing such garb~ge andrubbish in a sanitary fill on the tide lands
fronting the East si~e of Evergre~n P~rk, or such other 91ace as~ may be designated,
~der the supervision of the City He~.lth Officer, and making it ~lawfull for any
person to deposit g~rbage on such fill, except by consent of the Garbage Collector,
and repealing all ordina~ces ~nd pa~rts of ordinances in conflict herewith.

Sec. 1. That Section ~our~een (l&) of Ordinance No. 585 of the City of Bremerton,

ordinance ~d parts of ordinan<~e in conflic~ herewith and providing penalties for
the violation thereo~f," is amended to read as follows:
~ The Garb~ge Collector is hez'eby directed and impowered to create and establish a
sanitary fill o~ the tide lands fronting upon and forming a i~art of '~he East side of
XEvergreen P~.~rk, or sach other ~olace as may be desi~j~na.'ted by the ~]ity Health Or'ricer,
and all ashes,garbage and rubbish and .~ther matter collected by the Garbage Collector
shall be de[0osibed ~on said fill, such fill to be established and such deposits made
in a confined area o~ the tide lands in such manner as to prevent the esoa~pe of
solids contained in such garbage z~.nd rubbish, and such fill shall be covered ~/i~h ash
and dirt under the direction of the City Health Officer and shall .be treated with
li~e and o~hsr disinfectant ~s necessity may require, ~dsr the su~pervision of ~he
City Health Officer, and to be handled in every manner and respect, sa. tisfaotory to
~he City Health Officer.
PROVIDING ~ha~ nothin~· herein contained shall be construed to allow any person or
individual $o deposit any g~.rbage or refuse mat~er in any manner contrary to ordin-
ance and law now in force, excep~ a.s herein provided, and ~>rovidin~f further tha$ i~
shall be ~lawful for any person to deposit any garbage, refuse or o~her matter on
such sanitary fill, except by the consent of the Garbage Collector first obtained.
Sec. 2. All Ordinances and par~s of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
': Sec. 3. This Ordinance. shall be in full force and effect from and after five ~5)
days after its a~,proval, passage and publication.
