~ AN ORDINANCE approving the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 8-3,
under Ordinance No. 57? p~'oviding for the improvement of Sixth Street, com~nencing at
a point Thirty-one (3l) feet ~'est of ~he North Wes~ Corner of BroadWay and Sixth
Street, ~hence Wes~ along Sixth S~ree~, One H~dred Eighty (180) feet, by reconstruc$-
lng bulkheads and retaining walls, together with all clearing a~d grubbing necessary
to finish the same in a good and wor~nanlike manner and by doing such other- and
further work in the connection therewith as may be necessary ~o make said improvemen~
a com~lete job, and levying and assessing the amo~ 6hereof against the parc'els and
lots of lands, and 9arts thereof between the termini and wiShin the bo~dry of such
said s$ree6 and other ~roperty, ~.s shown on the said assessment roll, and providing
for ~he collection, thereof, and fixing the date for the issuance of the bonds in
pa~ent ~hereof.

Sec. 1. That ~he assessment roll for Local Improvemen~ DisSrict No. 83, for the
improvemen~ of Sixth Street commencing at a poin~ Thirty-one (Z1) feet ;~Yest of the
North ~qest Corner of'Broadway and Sixth 'Street, thence ~est along ~Ixth Street, One
H~dred EighSy (180) feet, by reconstructing bulkheads and retaining walls, together
with all clearing and grubbing necessary to finish the same. in a good and 'workm~nlike
ma~er and by doina.~ such o~her and further work in connection thereto, ~.s m~:,y be
necessary to make ~mprovement a complete job, all in accordance with the plans and
specifications on file in ~he offfioe of ~he City Clerk as t~rovided by Ordinance No.
5~/7, be and the same is hereby apgroved.
Sec. 2. Tha~ each parcel and lot of land, and par~ thereof, named in said assess-
men~ roll is especially benefi~ed by said impro,zement and ~hat there be, and is,
hereby assessed against each parcel ~.nd'lot of land, and ~oart thereof, and
proper~y contained in said improvement .district, as shown in said roll, the resp.ect-
ive ~ounts in said roll, se~ against each said parcel or 10t of land, or par~ ~here-
of, and other pro,perry between the termini of said Improvement abutting upon, adjacent
or approximate to said Street, and such ~o~ts are hereby declared to be a first
lien against each parcel or lot of land or part ~hereof against which t.he same is
assessed in said roll. ' '
See. 3. Tha~ for the purpose of this said improvement there is hereby crea~ed and
established a special fm~d to be known and called "Local Improvement ~und, District
No, 8~." Said bonds shall be issued in serial n~bers from one to both
inclusive, or so m~y ~hereof as may be necessary to provide for the unco~"iected port-
i~2 of said special assessmen~ due or oweing in said Dis~riot, on said date, same
be in s~s of One Hundred (~[~100.00) Dollars each, except ~he first,'which shall be
for such fractional part of One Hundred (~lO0) Dollars as may be the rem~ining due
and ~paid.
Sec. ~. That ~he 15th day of J~e, A. D. 1919, is hereby fixed for the issuance
and sale of ~he bonds ~o be issued on accoun~ of said improvement.
Sec. 5, This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from five (5) days after
its passage, approval and publication.
