Sec. 1. T~AT ~re is~ereby established the office of City ,~harfin~er, who
shall be a~ooin~d~by ~he --ayor wi~h~he consent of ~he Council. ~

wharfs o~ the ~ty of 3~e~n~r~,~n~ it shall be h~s du~y to receive ~d rscsiot for
an ac~un$ ~ all s~rebe~S, together wit}~ all moneys received there,;f ,or, and pay
said m~o'~er to.~h~ Ci~%V~easurer at the end of ~aoh day, and to have ~e~eral
and for ~h~ ac~ounting~of kll~mone~s received by said City Wharfingers. ~
Sec~?~ /'~HAT said~City Wharfin~er, by and with the consent of t~e ~ublio Utili-
ties CommerCe of the City 0ouncil, ~hali apooint such assistant wharfingers as may
be nscessa~~ or the efff~cient handlin~ of the ous~ness of the city wharfs, a~d shall
be responsible for such assistant wharfingers in the discharge off their duties.
Sec. 5. T~AT the salary off ~.he City f~harfingsr is hereby ffi~:ed in the sum of
~o Hundred [~2C. 0,0 ) Dollars per month, to be paid a~ all other city of~:~icers are
paid; and the salary of such assistant wharfingers shall be in such amount as shall be
agr~ed upon by the City Wharfinger and the Public Utilities Committee of ~he City
0ounoit, within the limits prescribed by the annual budget fi~:ed by the fity Council
for the expense of such wharfs, and shall be paid as all other city oYficers are
paid. ~o~ice off the' amount off salaries of such assistant wharfingers shall be given
~o the City Council, which notice shall be sihned by the City Wharfi~ger and at least
two off the Committee off the Fubiic Utilities off the City Com~cil, for the approval of
said Co~cil.
Sec. 8. 0rdi~iance ~'~o. 612-A, passed by the City 0ore, oil on the 10th ~ay of Feb-
ruary, A. D. lt, 19, and Ordinance No. 6&2, passed by the City Council on the 2Sth day
off July, A. D. 1919, and all other ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Sec. V. This ordinance shall be in full :orce and effec~flve {5) days from and
a~'ter i~s passage, ap ~roval and publication.
