BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OOi;~ISSION O~~ ~lIE OITY OF BREMER~ON: ~~S~ection 1. It shall be unlawfu.1 for any person, firm or corporation, to open ,./~ooarr~ on, m~.,. .... , o. I e any sod~.foun~ain, sof~ drink bar or parlor, res~aur~, oafe,..oafe~eria, lunchroom, cigar stand, or any card ~able for hire, wi~hou~ firs$ ~aking ou~ and procuring alioense ~herefor; ~he license fee for such soda fountain, soi'~ drink Oar or ~arlor,~esSauran$, card, cafeteria, lunch room or cigar s~ore, shall be five ($5.00) dolors annually, payable in advance. The fee for such card ~able sh~l be One ($1.00) Dollar per year for each and every such card ~able, oayable in advice, with a minimum fee of ~ive ($~.00) Dollars, for such card :a'bles, less ~h~ five so opera,ed, ~ln~ained ~d conducted by any such person, firms, or oorpora$1on. Sof~ drink bar or parlor, as oon~emglated by ~his Or~i~nce shall ~e such place where ice cream or sols drinks are served at a cou.n~er or ~ ~a~lgs or p!ao~es ~ovided for ~he convenience of ~he trade for ~e OOmBC~p~ion O'f SUCh ice o~ream or Sof~ drinks. ~~WSec~ion E. Tha~ ~y person who sh~l keep any card ~ables in any lunch room, ~~~ cafe, cafeteria, sof~ drink oarlor, or where sof~ drinks are sold or ,~Oany place ~-~~obacoo, ice cream or confections are sold, or any room or Building adjoining or ~~e~ere~o, an~ used for ~he purpose of increasing ~he patronage of any such claes o~~~ale of any ~uc~ articles or co~modiflles-or who shall a~low the ssmo ~o be ~~ersons ~o 'determine by play ~hereon, which of ~he persons so playi~~~ ~he drinks or o~her articles for sale in such place or for any representation of vh~e exchanged for such articles within the meaning of this Ordl~nce shall be dee:ned keeping the s~ne for hire ~td shall be subjec~ ~o license as in this Ordir~noe .provided. %-~7u~JD ~ o~o ~o, 2~/6 3~. ~ Section ~. Sec~ion~5. The al~ remission may by majority vote, at any re~lar ~r a special meeting called for ~hafl p~pose, revoke c~ncel, or annul any such license and upon ~he holder of any license under ~his Ordinance, being convicted of any violation of ~y Ordinance of She Ci~y of Oremer~on or law of ~he 'S~a~e of ln~on, such license ~y i~dia~ely be revoked, and all payments made under s~ll be forfeited. Seobion 6. ~ny such place and every par~ thereof, iaoludi~ all rooms used in connection ~herewi~h, shall be open to inves~igation by ~he ~aysr, police any officer of ~.he City of Bremer~on or peace officer of ~he Ooun~y of Ki~sap a~ any and all reaso~ble times and hours ~d wi~hou~ a warran$ so ~o do, and ~he regusal on the par~ of any such person, firr:~ or corporation to permi~ free entry into any such place or rooms used in co~eo~lon therewith, so licensed under the provisions of this Ord~na~e, by ~y such officer on demand, shall be deemed sufficient cause ~o revoke ~y such license Shere~ofore granted. ~~ Section 7. ~m~ person, firm or corporation failing ~o oomoly wi~h a~ pro'~isions o: ~his Ordi~nce shall be deemed guil~ ~f a misdemeanor, and shall be punished by a fine, no~ ~o exceed One Hundred ~$100.OO) Dollars,, or by lmpris- onmen~ in ~he City J~il not ~o exceed ThirSy (50) Days, or by bo~h such.fine and lmpr i s o nme nt. u~o~ion 8. ~l Ordi~nces or par~s of Ordinances in conflict herewith are h~ ~ repealed. ~ Seo~lon 9.
