The orinoipal appointive officers of the city off ~remert~n shall be as ows, ~o-w[~: the Gi~.y 01erk, the Ci~y ~raasurer, ~i;,e Cif;? A~tor.ney, Polica~ Judge, ~h 0ffffioer, Captain .of 2otice, a~;d such .other policemen as shall be provided ~he city co~mnission, Ghieff off the ~'ire Department, and such 3~her Firemen as shal~ by , ~ oreman, ~ir s t be provided by the city cmmnission, #harffin~er, ~.ty' Engineer Stree~ ~ - Assia~an~ ~i~y Wreasurer, ~eeond assistant Treasurer, and Third .~ssista~ reasarer. 2. '~he Ci~y ~or~zay shall be the legal advisor o% ~he city Co;mnission a~:d off ai ~he offffioes off the city in reia~io~z ~.o :~ers per~aini~ ~o the respective offffioes, he shall represen~ ~he oi~y in all litigation in ~11 aour~s in which the Oity is a par or directly interested~ and shall ?rosecu~a all viola~ions of the City 0rdi~':ces, an shall act ~enerally aSr~he at~0ri:ey for ~he oi~y in ~h:~ several de:partmeats off ~he city govern;meat, and he shall ,peform such o~her duties as may be required by ~he ci~y commission. Beffore enteriag upon the duties off ~,is orifice, he shall give a bond to ~he city off ~remer~oa, in such su,;z as shall be designate~ by ~he city oommission. 5. The ~olice Judge shall have such jurisdiction and such duties, powers and obligations as are authorized by law for police judges off ei~ies off ~he 8acond class. He shall make a detailed, monthly s~ateme~t of the offffenoes ~ried beffore him for ~he preeeeding month, togetl~er w:ith 8he oaltecSion of such fines as :say be imposed ~d a sum~ry regort o¢ tl:e results off each. and every case ~ried beffore hin, under the ordinances of ~.he city of Bre:f~rton. He shall give a bond ~o ~he oi~y of ~remerton in such sum as may be desigrza~ed by the oi~y commission. 6. The 01~y ~iea. lth Offffioer shall have power and authority and it shall be his ,,~duty wi~h ~he assistance off ~he ,police de:)ar~men~ ~o e::'~force ~he laws off ti~,:~ of ..~asi, in:~'ton a~d~. t~'-~ or~i:~;ces of th~ ci~f:- of [~remerton, :rel.,~ive ~.3 ~.~ea~h-' quaran- tine, a~d sanitation and shall ~erfo:.'u~ such o~her duties as ~y be required by the oi~y commission. 7. The Captain' o+'_ Police shall have ,?eneral supervision over ~he o~her 'police- men provided 'by the commission, uncle;' t~',a ..... direction 3f ~he sup~ri~'z~endent of ~ouoli~ ' - safeSy, and shall perform such duties as may he required hy such sug~rintsndent or by ~he oo,mnlssion. ;!e shall ~;~'ive a bond ~o ~hs city off ~rem~r~o:'z i~ such sn:~] as shall be required by the oi~y commission. 8. The 0bier of the Pire Departmeut shall have direo~ s.u~ervlsion ove~ the ffire depar~men~ of said city and the firemen appointed ~mder him. He shall make such rules and regu!~tions under th~ direction of the superintendent of public safs~y as f~y be required to establish and ~intain an effective fire department. There shall be appointed such number of firemen as ~.y ~s provided by the city commission, i{e shall perform such other services and duties a.s ~y be required 0y ~he commission. 9. It shall be the du~y of the ;,'~harfinger to have direc~ con~rol over ~he docks and wharfs, and shall for such ourpose_ keeoan~ accurate aoooun~ of all receipts from any and all wharfs o~-ned by the city, in a book kept f.sr that 0urp~se and shall render ~o the city co~nmiasion a monthly report of all such receipts, ts~t~ro .... ~ with the source for the preoeedinff month and shall be required ~o perform such o~her duties as ~y be designated by the city co~muission. He shall give a bond conditioned for ~he ~ai~hfful perfformance of his duties in such sum as ~y be- designated by the Oity 11. ~he ~treet Foreman shall perform such duties as may be required by ~he Sup~ri~tendent of ~tr:~ets and ~uhlia Improvements or by the ciiy cm~ission. ~ 12. The Firs~ Assistant City Treasurer shall be General ~ookkee0~r for ~he Wa~er Department ~d aasis~an~ ~o ~he Ci~y Treasurer and shall keep an accurate account oZ all recei.p~s ~d disbursements off ~he l~er Depar~men~ and of and off ~he ,~rran~s issued by said ~epar~men~. he shall make a de~ailed s~a.~emen~ each month of all receipts ~d disbursements in ~he '~a~er Depar~m:.n~ for the pre- eeedin;~' month ~oo'=~her wi~h a s~atement off ~,he Bonded and ]~arrant indebtedness off said depar~:nent, and shall be required ~o perfform such o~her duties as may desig'ma~ed by ~he supsrin~enden~ of Finance and -accounting} or by ~he City Comnission. He shall give a bond ~o the Oily off Bremerton c~ndi~ioned flor the ffai~hfful O ~uce off his duties in such sum as City 0o~mission shall designate. 13. The ~ec.ond ~ssis~ant City Treas~er shall ~e Cashier o~ the ~arbage department, s, and shall receive all moneys paid into t~e 5a. ter and ~arba~e Depar~men~s m~d kee2 ~ accurate accoun~ there.off and ~hail, each day, Pay over ~h.e source of such money. ~i'~e shall perform such other duties as ~y be required by the superintendent of Finance and ~ccounting or by the City Commission and shall, before enteri~.lg the duties of her offf!ee, give a bond to the Oity of 3remert~n, conditioned for th~ ffa~thful ~erfformance of her duties, in such sum as may be required by the City Jo.mnissi0n. 14, The Third ~sistant City Treasurer shall assist ~he Pirst .&ssistant 0ity Treasurer in the collection of money in the Garbage De,part~mnt and shal~ perform such other duties as may be required by the auoeriutendent of Pin~nce ~ad aecauntiU~ or hy the ~i~y .Jo.~-nission. She shall ~ccount, each day, ~o the Saeoad ~zssist~t Treasurer, of all moneys received and shall, if required, ~:ive m ~ond to ~he city of Bremerton, c.o~ditioned for the faithful perforaance of her duties in such sum as ~my be designated by ~he city co:~mission. 15. There are also hereby provided an Assisffant ~Th~rfinger, Wharfinger Bookkeeper ;fig~:twatch:~n, ~ ~ , -~'~'-~a~oa~--'ema~, firemen and _oatr01me.n, who shall perform such duties as may be required of them by the heads of their resoective depart- men~s, or by the airy Co:mnissioa.
