under Ordinance No. 729~providing for the improvement of Sixth street from the
center of High street east to the center of Veneta avenue in the city of Bremerton,
by clearing, grubbing, grading, constructing curbs and gutters, providing,for the
drainage thereof and by paving with a one-course concrete pavement, together with
any and all other work to finish the job in a good and workmanlike manner, and to
do such other and further work in connection therewith as is necessary to make such
improvement a complete job, and levying and assessing the amount thereof against
the parcels and lots of lands, and parts thereof between the termini and within the
boundary of such said streets and other property as shown on said assessment roll,
and providing for the collection thereof, and fixing the date for the issuance of
the bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRE~RTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Assessment Roll for Local Improvement District No. 102, for
the improvement of Sixth street from the center of High street east to the center
of Veneta avenue in the City of Bremerton by clearing, grubbing, grading, construct-
ing curbs and gutters, providing for the drainage thereof and by paving with a one-
course concrete pavement, together with any and all other work to finish the job in
a good and workmanlike manner, and to do such other and further work in connection
therewith as is necessary to make such improvement a Complete job, all in accordance
with the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk as provid-
ed by Ordinance No, 728, be and the same is, hereby approved.
Sec. 2. That each parcel and lot of land and part thereof named in said
assessment roll is especially benefitted by said improvement and that there be, and
is, hereby assessed against each parcel and lot of land, and part thereof, and other
property contained in said improvement district, as shown in said roll, the respective
amounts in said roll set against each said parcel or lot of laud, or part thereof,
and other property between the termini of said improvement abutting upon, adjacent or
proximate to said street, and such amounts are hereby declared to be a first lien
against each parcel or lot of land, or part thereof, against which the same is
assessed in said roll.
Sec. ~. That for the purpose of this said improvement there is hereby created
and e~tabli~hed a special fund to be knov~n and called "Local Improvement ~und, District
No. 102," said bonds shall be issued in serial numbers from one Il) to sixty-four
184), both inclusive, or so many thereof as may be necessary to provide for the un-
collected portion of said special assessment due or owing in said district, on said
date, same to be in sums of One Hundred IS100) Dollars each, except the first, which
shall be for such fractional part of One Hundre~ ~$100) 'Dollars as may be then remain-
ing due and unpaid.
Sec. 4. That the 20th day of December, 1921, is hereby fixed for the issuance
and sale of the bonds to be issued on account of said improvements.
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall be of full ~orce and effect from five days after
its passage, approval and publication.
Passed by the city council of the City of Bremerton and approved by me this
24th day of October, 1921.
