abatement of the same and prescribing penalties.
Be ~t ordained by the City Council of the City of Bre~erton.
Section 1. That certain premises in the city of Bremerton, knov~n as the
Rainier Hotel ~nd ~$obs Inn, situated on lots 7, 8 and 9 in block 14 of the plat of
Bremerton, be, and the sa.~e is hereby ordained and declared -to be a nuisanc~, owin~
to the commission of crimes and misdemeanors therein and owing to the continued use
of said place as a house of prostitution by the owners and managers thereof.
Sec. 2. That the said n~isance be abated and that the further use of the said
premises by its present occu?ants or by any other person, firm, or corporation,
in the manner that it is now being' used and has been used for the i~ast three or
four mo~ths is hereby L:~rohibited.
Sec, 3. The mayor of the City of Bremerton is hereby directed and empowered
to use all force at his co~mnand to execute this ordinance and to prevent the
further maintainance of said nuisance a~nd to cause same to be immediately abated.
Sec. ,-~. Any person in any manner, impeding, preventing', or opposing or
attempting to impede, prevent or cl..pose the ~.~ayor or police officers of the city o£
Bremerton, acting under the direction of the ~yor and the direction of this ordinan
in the abatement of said nuisance, shall be guilty of am, isdemeanor a~d shall be
subject to a fine of not less than $300 or imprisonment in the city Jail for not
less than 30 days or both such fine and imprisonment.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after its passa~'e,
approval and publication.
Passed by the city council of the City of Bremerton.and a~?proved by ~e this 8th
day of September, 1921.
