The City Co~cil of the City off Bremerton do ordain as follows:
Sec. 1. 'That Section I of Ordinance No. 589, entitled "An ordin~ce relating
to issuing a certifficate for barbers, manicurists, beauty specialists, food handlers
and laundry employees, and providing penalties for violation of the same," be
and the same hereby is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 1. Every manicurist, beauty specialist, employees of laundry or 'persons
en~ged in the handling of food or employed in a place where food or drink is
prepared, mixed, baked, exposed, bottled, packed, handled, stored, manufactured,
offered for sale or sold shall be reqaired to obtain from the co~ty, city or state
health officer or his deputy, a certificate that he is free from ~y contagious or
inffectious disease. Such certificate shall be obtained every six months and oftener
if ordered by the health officer.
The health officer issuing such certifficate shall not charge more than .~l. O0
for his services therein, and no blood test shall be made, except from his examina-
tion he believes a b~ood test to be necessary.
Sec. 2. This ordnance shall be in full force and effect five days from and
after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Bremerton and approved by me this
8th day of August, 1921.
