HomeMy WebLinkAbout0724 AN ORDINANCE establishing the water rates to be charged, in the corporate limits
of the city of Charleston, Wash., and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict therewith.
The City Council of the City of Bremerton do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That the water rates to be charged for the furnishing of water to the
residents and water users of and within the corporate limits of the City of Charleston,
Washington, commencing July l, 1921, shall be as follows:
Monthly rates for use of water other than measured bymeter shall be known as
· "fixed rates" and shall be as follows:
Minimum rate, payable monthly in advance, per month.' ............ $1.20
~ Bath tubs in private residences each tub .......................... 20
Cattle or horses in private stables, each ......................... 20
Earthwork, for s~ttling each 100 cubic yards of earth ............ 2.50
Paving and laying sidewalks, concrete per 100 square yds or less,
for six inch base or less ............................................. 1.25
Rates of water supplied through meters shall be as follows, for a month or
fractional part thereof: 600 cubic feet or less.., ................ ... 1.20
Provided that where two or more separate buildings or premises are
supplied by the same meter, the minimum rate shall be One and 20-100
dollars ($1.20) per month for each such building or premises, as long
as the meter remains on the service through which water is supplied.
The rates for meters used in the supplying of water shall be as follows:

Section 2. That the water superintendent file a copy of this change in rates with
the public servide commission of the state of Washington 30 days before July l, 1921,
Sec. 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
ilibe~ and they hereby are repealed.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days from and after
i~ilits passage, a~pproval and publication as provided by law.
