ORDINANOE NO. 828
AN ORDINANCE YACk%TING that certain portion of ~,~[ill Street now known as
Sheldon Boulevard, to-wit: Five /5) feet on and aloz~g the northerly margin of
Mill Street, now known as Sheldozl Boulevard, between ~he easterly mar~in of
Pacific zivenue and the westerly ~na~in of Hi~hland Avenue in ~he City of
Bremerton, 7~ashin~ton, (said five [5) fee~ bein~ immediately abu~tin~ on
sou~h boundary line of Block Four (4), Bayview addition ~o Bremer~on, as shown
by the pla~ o~ record in ~he office of ~he Oo~y Auditor of i~i~sa? County,
~';ashing~on, and being the north half of ~he ten [10) foo~ s~rip now existing
between the presen~ curb line and ~he sou~h boundary line of s:-~id Block Pour (4) ).
~'ft~REAS, 0n 0c~ober 14~h., 1925, there was filed wi~h ~he City Clerk
the City of Bremer~on, l~ashi~'~ton, a ~etition to vacate ~ha~ certain portion
o'f ~lill Street, ~iow known as Sheldon Bouleva'rd,~to-wi~: Five (5) feet o~i and
along the n~rtherly margin of i~[ill Street,.now known as Sheldon Bouleverd,
between the easterly margin of Pacific Avenue and the Westerly margin of
Highland Avenue in said city; and whereas it appeared from said 2etition ti~at
said Petition was signed by the ~wners in flee simple oi~ more t}~an two-thirds
(2/3) off the private property abutting upon such portion of such street sought"
to be vacated; and whereas the City Com~ission off said City at a regular meeting
thereof on s~id fourtee~th ~14) day of October, 1925, at the hour of ten (10;O0)
A, M., a~ the Co~uissioners Room in the City Hall of said City, and directed ~he
Clerk of said City to give notice thereof according to law; and whereas the said
City Clerk did post on the 24th. day of October, 1925, notice of said hearing in
three of the most public and conspicuous places in said City oi' Bremerton i~ the
manner and form and for the time ~'equired by law, and also on said date posted
a copy off such notice on that portion of L[ill Street now known s~s ,Sheldon
-Boule~ard, sought ~o b~ vacated, and duly filed in.his o~ffice an sfZ'idavit
showing such posting; and whereas such hearing came up at a regular meeting of
said 0o~nission on said 18th. day of l~ovember, 1925, at the hour of ten ~10:O0)
A. M.; and where~:~.s i~ further appears ~hat no protests have been filed to the
granting of such petition, and tha~ no objections have been made thereto, either
orally or in writing, and ~he said Commissioners having made due investigation as
to all the facts pertaining to such vacation, and being fully satisfied that no
one will be injured by the granting of such petition;

Bremer~on as follows:
Section 1. That tha~ certain portion of ~,[ill Street now known as Sheldon
Boulevard, to-wit: Five [5) 2'eet on and along the northerly margin of L[ill
S~reet, now ~own as Sheldon Boulevard, between the easterly margin of Pacific
Avenue and the westerly margin of ilighland Avenue, in the City of Bremerton,
~Vashington, (said five ~5) feet being immediately abutting on the south boundary
line of Block Four (4) Bayview Addition to Bremerton, as shown ~:y the plat on
record in the office of the Co~ty Auditor of Ki~sap County, ~,;~ashing~on, and being
~he no'~r~h half of the IlO) foo~ strip now e~is~ing between ~he present curb line
and the sou~h bou~dary line of said Lot Four [4) ), be vacated.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty ~30)
days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
PASSED BY Tt~ CITY COL[[ISSI0i~ of ~he City of Bremerton at a regular
meeting thereof on this 25th. day of ~ovember, 1925, and signed by me, the ~Zayor,
in attestation of its passage, and enactment.
