AN ORDINANCE submitting to the qualified electors of the City of Brememton,
at a special election to be held for that purpose on Saturday, the ~th, day
of December, 19E6, for the approval or rejection by a majority of the
electors ~oting thereon, that certain Ordinance No.850 of said City of
Bremerton, being ordinance entitled;
"AN ORDINANCE ~ranting a franchise for the construction
operation and ~aintenence of a toll bridge over Port
Washington Narrows, w~thin the City of Bremerton in the
County of Kitsap and State of Washington, unto W.E.Buell,
his heirs, executors, administratoes and assigns, under
the authority of and pursuant to the laws of the State
of Washington and Ordinances existing, given unto the said
City of Bremerton, a municipal corporation of the said State
o~ Washington;"
Saod ordinance being passed by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton
on October 2?th. 19£6, subject, however, to the approval of the qualified-
electors voting thereon at a special election for that purpose, giving and
granting into W.E.Buell, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns,
the franchise, right, privilege am~ authority to construct, operate and main-
rain a toll bridge over and across Port Washington Narrows within said City
of Bremerton, with the termini thereof as follows;
The Westerly terminus will be within and upon a strip of land
one hundred (100) feet in width lying immediately North
of the North line of Sixth Street and extending East from
Washington .~venue down to the low water line, all in the
City of Bremerton, State of Washington, and the Easterly
terminus will be within and upon lots Nine (9) and ten
[10) in block two (2) of Bender's Addition to Decatur, as
shown by the plat thereof on file anX of record in the office
of the ~uditor of Kitsap County, State of Washington,
and in accordance with the terms, provisions and requirements of said
Ordinance as passed.
~E~qEAS, The City Commission of the City of Beemerton,
· ashington, has this date passed Ordinance No.850 being an Ordinance
entilled:

his heirs, executors, administrators ~nd assigns, under
the authority of and pursuant to the laws of the State
of Washington and Ordinance s existing, given unto the
said City of Bremerton, a municipal Corporation of the
said State of Washington;"
Said ordinance giving and granting un~o the said W.E.Buelt his heirs,
executors, administrators and assigns, the franchise, right, privilege
and authority to construct, operate and maintain a toll bridge crier Port
Washington Narrows within said City of Bremerton, with the termini thereof
as set forth in the title of this ordinance and now being fully referred to

and by reference made a part thereof, said Ordinance being passed, however,
subject to the approval or rejection of the qualified electors of said City
of Bremerton, at a special election to be held for that purpose and in
~accordance With the laws of the State of Washington and the Ordinances of
said City:

HEREBY ORDAIN AS POLLO~S;
Section l; That there shall'be submitted to the qualified electors
of the City o~ Bremerton at a special election to be held in the City of
Bremerton for that purpose on Saturday, the 4th. day of December, 1926
for the approval or rejection by a majority of the electors voting thereon,

Said ordinance being passed by the Oi~y Oommis~lon of said City of Bremerton
on the 27~h. day of October 1926, subject, however, to the approval of the
qualified electors voting thereon at a special election to be held for that
purpose, giving and granting un~o W.E.Buell, his heirs, executors, admin-
istaatozm and assigns the franchise, right, privilege and authority to
construct, operate and maintain a toll bridge over ~nd across Por~ Washington
Narrows within said Ci~y of Bremerton, with the termini thereof as follows:

on file and of record in the office of ~he AuditOr of

and in accordance with the terms, proxisions and requirements of said ordinano~

Section2~ Notice of ~.id soeci~.l election sh~ll be given by publication
in due and prooer form under the hand of the Eayor and Clerk of said City
of Bremerton ~nd the se~.l ~hereof, in the official news~aner publishe~ in
s~id Cit~ of Bremerton, for no~ less than once a week for f~ur (4)
consecutive weeks prior to date of said election.
Section ~. Th~ electors of the City of Bremerton ~re hereb~ notified
to vote unon s~id ~ro~osition, ~nd those desireing to vote in f~vor of the

in acco~daxce with the provisions, conditions and requirements
of said 0rdin~nce, and all thereof, which ordinance i~ hereby
rejected."
Section 4~ S~id special election shall be opened by the inspectors
!and Judges hereinafter named at the hour of eight o'clock in'the forenoon
on the fourth day od December, 1926, and be continuously kept open luutil
the hour of eight o?clock in the afternoon of said day, when the polls
shall be closed, qnd the olaces where the vote~ shall be cast by the
qualified electors of the said City of Bremerton shall be the place or
places in their respective voting precincts where elections are usually
held and shall be the polling places usually used for that purpose within
the said City of Bremerton.
Section B: The following named inspectors and judges are hereby
mppointed for each of the several precincts within the said city of Bremerton,
for the purpose of conducting said special election, to-wit;

Section 6: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and publication in the manner orovided by law.
Passed by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton and
approved by me this B?th. day of October. 19E6.
