~N ORDIN~dNCE submitting to .the qualified ~lee~ers of the City of Bremerton
at a special election to be held for that purpose on Saturda~ the ~. day
of December 1926, the question of the alteration of the boundries of the
Ctt~ of Bremerton and to include new territory, more particul~ril~ set fortS
as~follows;
Beginning~ the North Wes~ corner of Veneta townsite, said point being
on the City limits of ~he City of Bremerton, ~ashington
Thence East along the City Limits of Bremerton 1AA0 feet; Th
North 8J0 feet; tbe~oe West 1~ fee~ to the West line0.
of the Southeast quam~sr of ~he Northeast quarter of
Section 1~, Township SA North., Range 1 East W.M.; ~hence
South to a point East of the Northeast corner of Lot 6
Blk.16, of ReesSs first Addition to Port Orchard. U.S.
Navy Yard; Thence ~est 1~£0 feet, mere or less, on a line
parallel to and 120 feet North of the South boundries
of Block~ 12,1~, l&,l~ and 16 of said Rees's ~irst ~ddition
to Port Orchard, U.S.Navy Yard, to a point on the center
line of High ~ve. produced: ~henoe South along the center
line of High Ave. to a point West of the poin~ of beginning;
Thence East to point of beginning, all in Kitsap 0ounty
~ashington.
And submitting the ~uestion and proposition of annexing above territory
~o the City of Bremerton, ~o the qualified electors residing in above
described territory.
~HEREAS, the City Oommission of the CiSy of Bremerton has received a
~e~i~ion duly signed by not less than one-fifth of the qualified voters
of ~he City of Bremerton. as shown by ~he last municipal election held therein
praying for the submission ~o ~he ~ualified electors of ~he City of Bremerton
the question as to whether or not the a~ove described territory shall be
added to and become a par~ of the incorporation of the City of Bremerton,
and at ~he s~me time submitting said proposition to the qualified electors
residing in said above described territory, Now therefore;
THE CITY C~ISSION O~ THE CITY O~ BREi~ERTON DO ~RDAIN ~S ~OLLOWS;
Section;1 That there shall be submitted to the ~ualified electors
of the City of Bremerton at~ a special elect~on to be held in ~he City of
Bremerton fo~ tha~ purpose, on Saturday, the ~th. day of December
the question as to whether or not the the following described ~erritory
shall be annexed to said corporation, and become a par~ thereof, said
territory being deScribed as follows.
Beginning at ~he Northwes~ corner of Yeneta Townsite, said
point being on ~he City Limits of the Oi~y of Bremertcn, Was-
ington; ~hence East along the City Limits of Bremerton

Thence East to the point of beginning, all in Kitsap County
Washington.
That on the said above date there shall also be submitted to the
~ualified electors residing in the above described territor~ the question
aS to whethe~ or not they desire to have said ~erritory annexe~ to and
become a part cf the City of Bremerton.
Section~ 2 Notice thereof shall be given by publication ~n a news
paper printed and p~blished in ~he:~itynof Bremerton. and also in a news
paper printed and published outside of the City of Bremerton in the County
where such territory so proposed to be annexed is situated, and in each
or both of said papers for the period of not less than once a week ~r
four eoseeutive weeks prior to said election.
Section 3; The electors cf the City of Bremerton are hereby
notified to vote upon said proposition and those desireing to vote in favor
of said proposition shall palco a cross "X" in the square opposite the
words "~or annexation". Those desiring to vote against said proposition
shall palco a cross "X" in a square opposite the words "Against annexationW
The electors residing in the territory proposed to be annexed are hereby
notified to vote upon said proposition as above set forth for the electors
of the City of Bremerton.
Section 4; Said electors residing in the City og Bremerton shall
vote at the place or places in the precincts where the electors are usually
held and tSe polling places usually used for that purpose within the City
of Bremerton, said electors residing in the territory proposed to be annexed
shall vote at what is known as the Ed Greer's residence, in the basement
thereof, ~nd being commonly known as 1203 Ohio Street, Corner of llth. and
Ohio and being located in said ~erritory.
Section 5; The following named inspectors and Judges are hereby
appointed for each of the several pecinots within the 8aid City of Bremerton
for ~he purpose of c~nducting said special election, to-wit;

In the territory proposed to be annexed, whish is k~own as a portion
of the Lincoln Precinct,
Inspector, ~.K, Berven ; Judges, Mrs Bertha E. ~ldridge and Mrs Alice Sumner.

Section 6i This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication in the manne~ provided b$ law.
Passed by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton and approved
by me this 22nd. day of September, 1926.
