No, 863 AN ORDINANCE to license temporary merchants in the City of Bremerton, ~on, for the purpose of regulation and revenue, and providing penalties the violation thereof. THE C~TY CO,.~,~ISSION OF THE CITY 0F BF,~,IERTON,W~SHII,~GTON DO 0RD.~IN ~S POLLOWS Section l: "Temporary merchan~"~ The term, "Temporary ~,~erchant", as herein , shall be and construed to mean and include, any one who with intent to engage ~emporarly,~ransiently or intineran~ly in such business in ~he City of Bremerton, sells goods, wares or merchandise at retail, and who for the purposes of car~'ying on such business, hires, leases or occupies, any building, structure, ten~, lo~ or premises, for the exhibition ~nd sale of such goods, wares or merchandise: }rovided, ~hat the provisions of this section shall not apply to public o 'fleers proper~y under authority of law, to persons selling pro~)erty m~der court arder, or ~o persons selling farm or dairy l~roduots. Section 2: &pplioa~ion for teml~orary merchants license shall state the haraoter, kind and appro~imate quantity and value of the goods to be sold; t~e ~rue n~e and address of owner or owners there of; .the location where the business [s to be ~onduo:~ed and the n~ber of days or months for which a license is desired. Section 3: "Temporary ~erchant's License"; i~ shall be unlawful to enga~je in ~r carry on the business of a temporary merchant without a valid and subsistinE license so ~o do, ~o be known as a "Temporary l~e~chan~'s License". the fee for such license shall be, and the s~e is hereby fixe~ in ~he s~ of Twenty-five {,$2g.00 Dollars per day, or if the license is procured for one or more full m~n~hs, Three Hundred f$300.00)Dollars per men,h; Provided however that no license shall be issued for a period of less than twelve (12)~ days. Section 4: ~kny person, firm or corporatiom violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction !whereof shall be punished by a fine in the sum not exceedin~ One Hmudred f~l~0.00) Dollars, or by imprison- ment in the City jail for a ~eriod not exceeding thirty (30) d~ys, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 5: This ordinance shall be in f~ll force and ~ffect thirty ~3~'~) days after its passage, approvan and publication as provided by law.
