Section 1. Tha~ Section 1 of Ordinance No 850 gz'an~ing a franchise for the

Seetion 1. That ~he au;hori~y,righ~ and privilege ~o construes
~perate and maintain a ~oll bridge over and across Por~ Wushington Narrows
wa~erw~y,wi~$in the s~id City of Bremerton,in the St~e of ~.~shing~on,with the ~ermini
upon private greeds,as follows: The westerly terminus will be within and u[~on a s~rip
of land one h~dred (lO0) fee~ in width,having the Easterly line of ~;~shington ~venue
as i~s Jes~erly bo~da~'y,bo~ded on the North and Sou~h by lines drawn E~s~erly frown
Easterly line of ~;~hington ~venu~,par~llel with ~=nd fifty (50)feet on ei~her side of
~he cen~er line of sa~id hridge,h~ving its ¥~esterly ~erminus at the poin~ of intersection
0f ~he line between Lots twelve(l~) ~nd Thir[~en (l~) Block One (1) Coder's ~ddition
~he City of B~omerton,as shown by ~he pla~ thereof on file and of record in the off~ic~

of record in the office of the ~kuditor of Kits.~p Co~ty,'Jashington,and in

upon ~he terms hereinafter specified,is hereby and by ~his lnstr~en~ given ~nd granted
~to W.E.Buell,a citizen of the State of J~h~no~n,residing in the City oi' Ze~.~tle his
heirs,execu~ors,~dministrators,~nd ~ssigns,but ~he terms ~nd conditions upon which the
said franchise is granted,including all he~einaftsr se~ forth,are ~.~s follows:

as hereby amended.
Section 5. this Ordinance not t~ka effect ~nd be enforced ~il it h~s~]first
been p~ssed as proscribed by law,i~ublished in the official newsp~per of
Bremer~on,for the requisite time a~ ~he e~pense of tl~e gran~ee ~nd submitted ~o ~h
electors of ~he City of Br~mer~on at an election ~o be by Ordin~nce or i~esolution
!~roperly called and provided ~herefor by ~he ~i~ Co~nission of ~he City of Bremer~on
In-the State of ~,Vashingt on ,where and when a vote shall be taken thereon by the
~leotors,and if a majority vo~ing upon ~he questi'on a~ s~id election shall v~te
[or ~he adoption of ~his amendment, ~hen it shall be and remain in full force
~nd effeo~,bu~ if ~he majority of electors vo~ing u~on th,~ question at such election
~ha!l vo~e asainst ~he same,then said amendmcn~ shall be of no force and effect,
~nd said Ordinance No 850, shall ~ontinue in full force ~nd effect as originally
)assed ,withou~ sa~d amendment.
Passed by the Ci~y Co~ission of the said City of Bremer~on in
'egular session assembled,and approved and signed by the Mayor and a~ested by
~he City Clerk in attestation ~hereof,this 8~h day of ~ugust,19~8.
