meet such Emergency and declaring an Emergency.
miWHEREAS it was found impossible to keep the City Hall of said City at a
proper degree of temperature without the installation of an automatic f~re Stoker
and ;W/EREAS the attempted heating 0£ said building withdu, t an automatic firs
Stoker caused a great deal of extra expense,and ~,WHERE~iS even with such extra
expense said City Hall could not be heated properly,and ;~fHE~A5 no provisions
was made in the Budget for the year 1928,for the purchase and installation of
an automatic Fire Stoker and ';f~ERE~S it was found nesessary to install such
automatic Fire Stoker and ';fHEREAS the purchase and installation of such automatic
~ire Stoker caused a shortage in the City Hall Department fund in the sum of
Eight Hundred Nineteen and 91/100 ($819.91) Dollars,which could not have been
reasonably forseen at the time of making the Budget for the Year 1928 and
;WHEREAS the Commissioners of said City has duly investigated the necessity
for the installation of such Automatic Fire Stoker and have found that such
was absolutely necessary for the maintenance and operation of said City Hall
and of the various Departments located therein and ~;'HEREAS after due investigati~$
said Commission has ascertained that in order to maintain and operate said City
Hall and the various Departments therein located,for the re~nainder of the year
1928.it is necessary to a,~propriate the sum of Eight Hundred Nineteen and 91/100
[$819.91) Dollars,for the use and benefit of said ~ity Hall and for the Depa~tmen
ts located ~herein,to pay for such Automatic Fire Stoker and the installation
thereof,
NO~ THERE~0RE BE it ordained by the said Commission of the City of :
Bremerton,as follows:
Section 1. That a public Emergency exists,which could not reasonably
have been foreseen at the time of making the Budget for the year 1928,and which
requires the expenditure of money not provided for in the Budget,and ~hat the
estimated amount of money required to meet such Emergency,above the amount
provided for in such Budget is to-wit:
City Hall Department,to pay for the purchase and installation of
Automatic Fire Stoker ..... ~819.91.
~ection 2. That said sum of Eigh~ Hundred Nineteen and 91/lO0
($819.91) Dollars.is necessary for the maintenance and operation of maid City
Hall and of the ~a~¢ous Departments of said City located therein,for the
remainder of the year 1928,and shall be paid for by the issuance of Emergency
warrants which shall be paid from any moneys on hand in the City or Town
Treasury from the fund pro~erly chargeable with such expenditure and if at:any
time ,there shall be insufficient money on hand to pay any Emergency warrant~-
such warrant shall be registered,bear interest and be called in the same manr.~er
ag other City or Town warrants.
SECTION B. An Emergency exists in the Department mentioned in the prece ins
Section hereof,and ~his Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public ~eace,
health,morals ~nd s~fety pf ~he Ci~y,an~ ~his Ordinance shall take effect
