HomeMy WebLinkAbout0889 Ordinance No 889. kN ORDINANCE approving the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No 117, under Ordinance No 878,for the improvement of High ~[venue approximately seventy (70t feet in width,from the North I;[argin of Sixth Street to the centerline of Eleventh Street; Seventh Street, approximately ~ixty (60) feet in width from the East margin of Pennsylvania Avenue to the west margin of High ~venue by clearing,grubbing,grading,adjusting water mainsand connections thereto,providing for drainage,and also for the improvement of High Avenue f~om the North margin of ~ix~h ~ree~to the Sou~h margin of Eleventh Street,by constructing and laying concrete sidewalks approximately five t§) feet in width;Eleventh Stree~ on.the on the North side from the East margin of High Avenue to Sydney Avenue and on ~he South Side from the East ~[argtn of High Avenue,to a distance midway between High Avenue amd Veneta Avenue,by constructing and laying concrete side-walks approximately five (5) feet in width,together with any and all other work ~ necessary to finish all of s~me Job in a good and workmanlike manner,and to do such other and further work in connection therewith as is necessary to make such improvement a complete Job, and levying and assessing the amount thereof against the parcels and lots of land and parts thereof,between the termini amxl within the boundary of said streets and other property as shown on said assess- ment roll; and providing for the collection thereof and fixing a date for the issuance of the bonds in payment ~hereof. BE IT OED&INED BY THE CITY C~IS$ION OP T~E CITY OF BREI~RTON: SECTION 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District Ho,ll?, under Ordinance No,878,for the improvemen~ of High .ivenue approximately seventy (?0) feet in width,from ~he North margin of Sixth Street to the centerline of Eleventh Street;Seventh' Street,approximately sixty (60) {eet in Width from the East margin of Pennaylvamia Avenue to the 17est margin of High Avenue,by clearing,grubbing,grading,adjusting water mains and connections thereto, providing for drainage,and also for the improvement of High Avenue from %he North margin of Sixth Stree~ to the South margin of Eleventh Street,by cons~ructing and laying concrete side-walks approximatel~ five (5) feet in width;Eleventh Street on the North side from the East margin of High ~ivenue to Sydney Avenue and on the South Side from the East margin of High Avenue, to a distance midway between High Avenue and Vene~a Avenue,by constructing and laying concrete siRe-walks approximately five (5) feet in width,together with any and all work neceasary to finish all of said job in a good and work- nmnlike manner, and to d~ such other and further work in connection therewith as is neceg, sary to make such improvement a complete job, all in accordance with the plans ~nd specifications prepared by the Ci~y Engineer for the City of Bremerton,on file in the office of the City Clerk,ss provided by Ordinance No 878,be,and the same is hereby approved, Section ~, That each parcel and lot of land and part thereof named in said assessment roll is especially benefitted by said improvement and that there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof ~ other property contained in said improvement district as shown in said roll,"th respec:ive amounts in said roll. SECTION 3. That for the purpose of said improvement there is hereby created and established a special fund to be known and called "Local Improvement District E ll?'~ Bonds shall be issued in serial n~bers from l~o 59,bo~h inclusive,or ~hereof as ~y be necessary ~o provide for the ~collected portion of said special assessmen~ due or owing in said district.on ~he date of ~he issuance of said bond~;~ said bonds ~o be in ~he s~s~0f ~o H~dred ($~00.00) Dollars each, e~cept ~he firs , which shall be for such fractional part of Two H~dred ($E00.00)Dollars as may be en remaining due and ~up~id. SECTION 4, Tha~ the ~Zrd day of Pebruary,k.D.19~9,is hereby fixed Xor ~he ~suance and sale of ~he bonds ~o be issued on accost of said improvements. SECTION 5.
