Section 1. Tha~ wherea~ ~he Oi~y of Bremer~on is ~he owner

whereas ~he proper~y hereafter described does no~ ferm any par~ of
~he wa~er shed for s~id m~icipal plan~ and lies below ~he d~s and int~.kes
owned hy ~he Oily of Bremer~n on ~he Eas~ and Wes~ forks of ~derson Creek,
crossing said proper~y ~nd s~id hereinafter described proper~y is no~ in any
wise essential ~o ~he s~id m~icipal wa~er plan~ or ~he Oi~y of Bremerton
as a par~ of such plan~, excep~ as a way of egress.and in,ess ~o ~he proper~y
lying Sou~h of ~he herein after described proper~y and belonging ~o ~he said
Oily of Bremer~on, and as a way and righ~ of way for ~he laying, maids, raining,
relaying, loc~.~ing, re-locating over and upon said proper~y of ~he wa~er

whereas ~he ~ni~ed S~a~es Gover~en~ is desirous of securing ~he
'~i~le in and ~ ~he here:[n~e~' described 'property as a pa.r~ of a~'~d for ~he
p~pose of loc~ing ~hereon a National Veterans Home, which, if located there-
on or on ~td~cen~ property, will be af far grea~er val~e to ~he Oity of
Bremer~on ~.~nd the m~icipal wa~er system belonging ~o said City as an addi~ion-
al and large u~cz' of w~ter ffrom such m~icipal wa~e.r pla. n~ .~.nd as a source of
revenue fr.o~'~ se~id mtmioip~.], wa~er system, which revenue will be. of far ~ea~er
value to said m~u'licipal w ter system and will be grenadier seedily ~o the
holders of bonds aga~.ns~ such municipal wa.~er syslem than ~he ~itle in and
~o ~he hereinafter described proper~y withou~ ~he location of such Veterans
Home on said i~roper~y of adjacent ~hereto, ~d it is considered ~ha~ the
.loc~ion of said National Veteran Home on said property will be of further
value to~said m~icipal wa~er s~s~e~ by i'~r~her increasing ~he n~ber of users
of water adjacent to said proper~y by ~he developmen~ of said adjacen~ proper~y
and ~he establishing of ~ho:~ea ~h~-eon, which ho'~es would'use wa~er from:~su~

municipal water system and become permanent c~stomers ~.of such system, and by
furthe~ increa.~ing the number of users and thereby increase the revenue of Said
municipal water system of the City of Bremerton and adjacent property thereto
and the location of said National Veterans Home on said property is s~ufficient
consideration in addition to the benefits naturally accruing therefrom to the
municipal water system and in addition to the '~onsideration hereinafter express-
ed for the conveyance of such property to the Uni~ea States Government for such
purpose.
Section 11. The ~yor of the City of Bremerton he and he i~ hereby
authorized to execute in the name of the 0ity of Bremerton, a deed to the herein.
after described property to the United States Gove~.nment for and in consideratio~
that the United States Government locate thereon or as a part thereof, the
National Veterans Home and for the f~rther consideration of ~ne ($1.00) Dollar,
which considerations are hereby expressly ~;onsidered a.s sufficient considerati~
for such deed ~s in Section 1. hereof more fully expressed, ~nd the City Clerk b~
and he is hereb~uthorized to attest said deed ~nd to affix thereto'the official
seal of the City of Bre~'.~erton, which said deed shall provide that upon abandon-
ment of said National Home in said property hereby conveyed~ ..it shall 2avert to
the City of Bremen'ton ~nd shall also make specific reservations therein for ·
easements l'or the laying and re-location repairing and changing water mains ov.~r ~nd
and upon said property and right of way cyber s.'~id property to the property lying
Souththereof, and reserving therefrom the control of the East and ~¥est forks of
Anderson's Creed to the Junction thereof ~nd also reserving therefrom a site upo~
said creek and upon the Junction thereof for a pump and pumping station and wi th s
such other provisions as the Conm~ission of said City may expressly provide.

Bection B. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty
