AN ORDINANCE levying special and general municipal tax against! all the taxable
property of the City of Bremerton for the year 1934, levying special and general
municipal tax against all of the taxable property within what was.formerly the
City of Charleston, now consolidated with the City of Bremerton, for the year 1934,
and levying special and general municipal tax against all the taxable property
within the limits of the City of Bremerton prior to its consolidation with the
City of Charleston, for the year 1934, and approving the assessment roll as made
by the County Assessor of Kltsap County.
BE IT 0RDzINED BY THE CiTY C0~ISSION 0~ TM CITY OF BRE~ERTON:
Section 1. That a tax of twelve and 3857/10000 mills (.123857} on the total
valuation of the taxable property of the City of Bremerton assessed at Three
Million Eight Hundred Sixty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-three and no/100
($3,867,553.00) Dollars, amounting to ~'orty-seven Thousand ~ine ~undred Two and
35/100 ($47,902.35) Dollars ben, and the same is hereby levied against all the taxable
property in the City of Bremerton, for current expenses for municipal purposes,
for the year 1934, the same to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the
Treasurer of Kltsap County.
Section 2. That a tax of One and 2930 /lO000 (D12930) Mills on the total
valuation of the taxable property of the City of Bremerton assessed at Three
Million Eight ~undred Sixty-Seven Thousand F, ve Hundred Fifty-Three and n0/100
($3,869,553.00) Dollars, am6unting to Five Thousand and 75/100 ($5,000.$§$
Dollars for library fund and for uses and purposes of public libraries in the
City of Bremerton, be and the same is hereby levied against all the taxable property
Situated in the City of Bremerton, for the year 1934, the same to be carried on
the tax rolls and collected by the Treasurer of Eitsap County.
Section 3. That a tax of One and 3213/10000 (.013213) Mills on the total
valuation of the taxable property of the City of Bremerton assessed at Three
Million Eight ~undred Sixty-Seven Thousand ~'ive Hundred Fifty-three and no/100
($$,867,553.00) Dollars, amounting to Five Thousand ~ne ~undred Ten and 20/100
($5,110.20) Dollars, for Parks and Playfields ~unds and for uses and purposes of
public parks and playfle[ds in the City of Bremerton, be and the same is hereby
levied against all the taxable property situated in the City of Bremerton, for the
year 1934, the same to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the Treasurer
of Kitsap County.
Section 4. That a tax of One and 2930/10000 (.123930) 2ills on the total
valuation of all the taxable property of the City of ~remerton, assessed at Three
Million Eight hundred Sixty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Three end no/100
(~3,867, 553.00) Dollars, amounting to Five Thousand and no/100 (~5,000..00) Dollars
be and the same is hereby levied against all the taxable property in the City of
Bremerton for Redemption of Indebtedness ~arrants and interest thereon for the
year 1934, ~he same to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the Treasurer

of Kitsap County.
Section 5. That a tax of One and 2894/10000 (.12894) Mills on the total
valuation of the taxable property of the City of Bremerton contained and situated
within the limits of the City of Brem~rtoa, prior to the consolidation of the cities
of Bremerton and Charleston assessed at Three Million Line Thousand ~ne Hundred
Fifty-Seven and no/lO0 ($3,009,157.00) Dollars, amounting to Three Thousand Eight
Hundred Eighty and no/lO0 ($3,880.00) Dollars for the payment of bond redemption
and interest on said bonds, issued by the City of Bremerton prior to its consolida-
tion with the City of Charleston for the construction of a city hall, due and payable
in the year 1934, the same to be carried on the tax rolls and collected by the
Treasurer of Kitsap County.
Section 6. Ttlat a tax of One and 1320/10000 (.011320) Mills on the total
valuation of the taxable property contained and situated within the limits of what
was the City of Charleston, prior to its consolidation with the City of Bremerton,
assessed at Eight hundred Fifty-Eight Thousand Three Hundred ~iney-Six and no/lO0
($858,396.00) Dollars, amounting to Eine Hundred Seventy-one and 67/100 ($971.67)
Dollars, be and the same is hereby levied against all the taxable property within
the limits of what was the City of Charleston, prior to its consolidation, w~th.L~he
~y bf Bremerton, for Charleston ~harf Interest and Bond Redemption ~und created
and incurred prior to such consolidation, for the year 1934, the same to be carried
on the tax rolls and collected by the Treasurer of Kitsap County.
Section 7. That the assessment roll as made by the County zssessor and reviewed
by the Oounty Commissioners for the year 1934 be and the same is hereby approved
as the assessment roll for the levying of municipal taxes for the City of Bremerton.
PzSSED and adopted by the ~ity Commission of the City of Bremerton at the regular
statutory meeting held for said purpose on ~he 1st Monday in October, 1933, signed
by the ~ayor and attested by the City ~lerk in authentication of such passage this
2nd day of October, 1933.
