Ordinance regulating the distribution and sale of malt,malt liquors, beer, lager
beer, ale, porter, wine, similar fermented malt, or vinous liquors and fruit
juices as herein specified, defining terms herein used,s._.ecifing places where
such liquor may be sold, classifying and levying an occupying tax for revenue
and regulation~hereon, providing for licences therefor, prohibiting the sale'of
liquor in places so licensed, p~-oviding for cash bond and~enelties
intoxicating
for violation of this ordinance, and repealing Ordinance ~o. 999." by exempting
hotels and rooming houses from the provisions of such section.
THE CITY C0~SSION 0F THE CI~ 0~' B~RTO~ D0 0RDAIE ~S ~0LLOWS:
Section 1. That Section l~ of Ordinance ~o. 999 be and the same ls hereby
amended to read as follows:
~;ection l~. NOT T0 BE C0~S~D 0N PR~iISES. It shall be ~lawi~ul for
the holder of any Retail in Bulk Licence to permit any such beer, lager beer,
or wine to be consumed upon the premises covered by such license, or any
premises connected therewith, provided that it shall not be unlawful for the
owner, proprietor, or manager of a hotel or rooming house,being tn~ owner and
holder of a Retail in Bulk License to permit the consumption o~' such beer, lager
beer and wiae in rooms rented to guests therein, of such rooming house.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty
days from and after its passage and publication .as provided by law.
