his duties; providing for oompens,~tion and repealing all ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith.

Section 1. The ~ayor, with the approval of twoithirds of the commission,
shall appoint a BuildinS Inspector, who shall be a resident of the City of
Bremerto~ and a citizen in good standing, and who shall be an architect or a
master builder,~wlth at least five years experiense as such.
Section 2. The Building-Inspector shall approve all plans and specifica-
tions for,any and all buildings to be erected in the City of Bremerton, and no
permit shall be issued ~uutil the plans for any such proposed buildin~j shall have
the written approval of such Building Inspector. He shall administer.and enforce
the Building Code and Building Ordinance of the City of Bremerton.
Section 3. The Building Inspector shall receive such compensation monthly,
equal to the amount of fees received for building permits during such month.
Section 4. The Chief of the Fire Dep~rtment shall ac~ as assistant Building
Inspector without additional salary, and it s:hall be his duty'to refer all apli-
cations for building permits to the Buildins Inspector for his approval and to
check the same prior to the issuance of any such permit. He shall render such
assistance as may be required in the administering of the office of Building
Inspector and shall assist in the administration and enforcement of the Building
Code and Building Ordinances of the City of Bremer~on.
Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30)
days from and after its passage and'publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the ~MYor
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 15th day
of July, 1933.
