pen~ltles and re.get, lin~ ordinance No. 6?O~nd 688, and all other ordin~nces
in conflic~ herewi~h"'~ by ~ding ~here~o ~n additional sec~i'~n ~o be known
as Seo~ion,~A, providing for ~h~_~ revoa~iou of such licenses ~der certain
circumstances, and authori~:ing '~he Co~'~]miss~on ~o refuse such applic~ions

Section. 1. Th~t Ordinance No. $'~0, emn~i~led "~u ordinance ~o license
and regula~e. ~he business of c~>nveyin~ ~er'sons, goods, and ~hings from plaice

within ~he Ci~y of Break, crOon, fixing penalties ~.nd repe~.ling ordinance

herewi~h",be and ~he s~%me is hereby amended by ~dding ~here~o a Sec,'ion
be ~own as Section 5 A as follows:
Section BA. In ~he even~ ~h~ ~he holder of ..~ny such license or
any applic~n~ ~herefor sh~ll be or shall have been convicted of ~.he unlaw-
ful Dossession or s~.~le of intoxicating liguor under ~he ordinances of ~he
Oi~y of Bt, mer~on, ~he ~ws of ~he S~te of Washington, or ~ the United S~a~es
or shall be ~r sh~.ll h~ve been conviot,~d of ~he viola.~i~ Of any o~her ordin~c~
or s~u~es involving morel tur~.yi~ude or is found ~o be a person of bad moral
character or of a bad re'pu~ati'~n or.for any o~her ~ood reason ~he City
Oommission feels ~h~ such [~erson is ~ menace ~o ~he peace and good order
of ~he said ci~y and ~he safe~y ~hereof, ~he said. 8ommission may in i~s dis-
oresion revoke such license or licemses ~here~ofore issued ~ dired~
refusal of ~he issusnce of such license after a hearing held f~ ~hn~ puroose
before such 0o~ission, no,ice of'which he~ring shall be' given by serving
such holder or ap~ylio~n~, ~.s ~he c~,se m~.y be, a written no~ide of suc.h he~ring
in person, which hearing sh~ll be held no~ less ~han five da2~s nor more
~en adys after ~he serving of such no,ice, bu~ may be e~.n~inmed from day
day and fro~ ~ims ~o ~ime fu~ no~ for a ~e~,~er period ~hsn ~en days, and a~
such hearing ~he holder of such license or ap~}].i:~i~n ~heref~, as ~he case
~y be, may Rrodmce such evidense as m~y be donsidered' pertinent; such

such license or revoking same, or directing ~he Oi~y Tree, surer to issue
applic,-~n~ ~herefor a license, or to refuse same, as ~he ease may be, and in
either event ~o reasons for .~uoh revocation or the refusal to gr~nt such license
shall be given in ele~'.~r and concise language, and cle~.rl~.~ s'~ecify ~he grounds
for such action, and when so ado.p~ed shall be final, and in ~he even~
such no,ice embodies ~he refusal to grnnt such license ~he 0i~y Tree,surer
shall ~here~.~'f~e.r refuse ~o gr.~ut such license to 'such applicant.
Section 2. This ordin~nce sha'l be in £ull force and effect thirty
days after i~s .passe, ge and oub]..ic~tion as provided by law.
