BE IT ~iNED ~Y THE OI~ 0~ BRE~RTON~ ~ASHINGTON, ~ Section 1. ~t shall be unlawful fox any~person to advertise or conduct any sale goods, wares or merch~%ndise~ at retail, that is represented as a ~krupt, Insolvent, Assignees, Adjusters, Trustees, Executers, ~ministra , Receivers,. ~holesalers, Jobbers, ~nufaoturers, Closing Out, Liquidation Closing Stock, Fire or Wa. terDama, ge sale, Re~~ organization sale, or any thor kind of s~le which is by representati'~n or advertisement intended t lead the public to believe that the person conducting such s~le is out or closing out ~the goods, wares or merchandise of any business, o~ ~he major .part of it, for less th~n the current or going re~ail ~rice roof in the Oity first filing with the Ci~y 01erk ,e inventory hereinafter P~evided for and obt~_~ining from him a license s ~o do, to be ~cwn as a'"Olcsing Out Sale License." Section ~. The [~y Clerk may in his discretion verify the details of an inventory filed for the of obt~,~ining ~ "Glosing Out S~le License", or he may make a check and verify he items of merchandise sold during the sale, and shall be unlawful for ~ny ~o whom ~. "Closing Ou~ Sale LicenSe" has been issued to fail o~ refuse ~o give he City Clerk or nny person designated by him for tha~ pu~rpose all the fac~s with the s~ock on hand'~r the proper information of goods sold or ~ny ct information ~hat he may require to m~:ke a ~horough investigation of all phases nnected with ~he sale, Section A. The provisions of the :t preceding ~hree sections shall not be applicable ~o trustees in baukruptcy, ~ors, ~administrs.~ors, receivers o~ public officers' ao~ing under Judicial ~ Section 5.
