District No. 131 under the Ordinance No. 1029'.pr°viding for the improvement of
arvon avenue from the north margin of First Street to the south m~rgin of Burwell
Street by clearing, grubbing, grading, altering, adjusting and lowering of side
sewers and sewer connections and appurtenances where necessary; the construction
and a~justment of inlets, catch basins, manholes and flush tanks, providing for
the drainage thereof, the ~djust'ing oi~ water mains with connections thereto and by
paving with a one course concrete pavement approxir~ately six inches thick a'nd
thirty feet wide, together with the construction of concrete curbs and gutters
on each side thereof and the construction of concrete sidewalks where necessary, and
together with such o~her and further work 1~ connection therewith as may be necess~
cry to make such improvement a complete job, and the levying and assessing the
cost thereof against the parcels and lots of lands and parts thereof between the
termini and within the boundary of said street as shown on the said assessment roll,
and providing for the collection thereof and fixing the date for the issuance of
the bonds in payment thereof.
BE IT ORD~IAED BY THE CITY CO~l~'llSSIO~ OF THE CITY OF
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 13l,
providing for the improve~,~e~t of ~rvon avenue from the north margin of First Street
to the south margin of Burwell Street by clearing, grubbing, grading, altering,
adjusting and loweri, ng of side sewers and sewer connections and appurtenances where
necessary; the construction and a~justment of inlets, catch basins, manholes and
flush tanks, providing for the drainage thereof, the adjusting of water mains with
connections thereto and by p~'vinE with a one course concrete pavement approximately
six inches thick and thirty feet wide, together with the construction of concrete
curbs and gutters on each side thereof and~the construction of concrete sidewalks
where necessary, with such other and furthest work in connection therewith as may
be necessarY to make such improvsment a complete, job, all in ~ccordance with the
plans and specifications on file in the office ~of th'e City Clerk, as provided by
Ordinance No. 1029 be and the sume is hereby aL~proved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of l~nd or part thereof as shown in
said assessmen~ roll is specially benefited by said improvement, and that there be
and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof and
other property contained in said Improvement District as shown in'said roll,
including the property belonging to the City of Bremerton, the respective amounts
in said roll set against each parcel Or lot of land, or part thereof, and other
property between the termini of said improvement abutting u,~!on, adjacent or
proxl~,-te to said street, and such amounts so assessed are hereby declared to be
~irst lien against each parcel or lot of land or part thereof, against which the
~ame is. assessed in said roll.
Section 5. That for the purpose of this said improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known and called "Local Improvement
Fund, District No. 131". Bonds shall be issued in serial numbers from one to
both inclusive, or so many as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected
portion of said special assessment due or owing in said district on'the date here-
inafter fixed, the same to be in denominations of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
each, except the first, which shall be for such fractional part Qf One Hundred
Dollars as may be rel~mining due and unpaid on said date payable from said "Local
-- Improvement Funds, .District No. 131".
Sectioa 4. That the 24th day of January, 1935 be and the' same is hereby
fixed for the date of the issuance and sale .of the bonds to be issued on account
of said improvement.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days from
and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Gity Co~lssloil, signed bY the Mayor and attested by the City
Olerk in authentication of such passage thls first day of December, 1934.
