· ~N OBDIE~ECE requiring a Journeyman's Certificate of Competency for any
craft or trade by a person, firm or corporation holding a Master's License in
such craft or trade or by some member of a corporation designated thereby to
hold such Journeyman's License, repealing the provisions of all Ordinances in
conflict herewith and providing penalties for violation.
THE CITY CON~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BRF2&ERTOE DO ORDAIN ~S FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That no N~sters License shall be issued to any person, firm
or corporation to engage in the business of contracting for the furnishing of
labor or material or either of them as a plumber, Electrician, Sheet Metal
Worker or other craft or trade in which a Journeyman's Certificate of Competency
as an artis~an in such craft or trade is required under the ordinances of the
City of Bremerton, unless such person or a member of such firm, or, in the case
of corporations, at least one member of such corporation designated thereby,
shall have qualified as a journeyman in such craft or trade.
Section 2. No such Masters License shall be issued to any person, firm
or corporation unless sugh person, firm or corporation has an established place
of business with the~'~eoessary tools and equipment required in the performance
of the trade or craft in which he applies for such license, and the main
business of such person, firm or corporation consists in the furnishing of
material or labor or both in such craft or trade.
Section 3. The provisions of any ordinance or ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation engaging in the business of
master of any craft or trade required to have a license in the City of Bremerton,
without having first secured a Journeyman's Certificate of Competency as
required by the Ordinances of the City of Bremertom, shall, upon conviction
thereof, be fined in any sum not to exceed $100.00 or by imprisonment in the
city Jail not to exceed thirty (50) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty
days from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the
Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this
