AN ORDINANCE approving and adopting the assessment roll for Local Improve-
ment District No. 138 under Ordinance No. 1059, providing for the improvement
· of Rainier Avenue, Olympic Avenue, Seventh Street and Eighth Street as in said
ordinance described, the levying and assessing of costs thereof against the
parcels and lots of land between the termini and within the boundaries of said
improvement and provtdin8 for the collection thereof, and fixing the date for
the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C0~MISSION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No.
138, providing for the improvement of Rainier Avenue from thee North margin~of
Sixt~ Street North to the city limits at Ninth Street; Olympic Avenue from the
North margin of Sixth Street North to a point 131.2 feet North of the center
line of Eighth Street; Seventh Street from the ~East margin of Raf~nler Avenue
East to the West margin of Olympic Avenue; and Eighth Street ·from the East
margin of Rainier Avenue East to the West margin of Olympic Avenue all in
accordance with the maps, plans and specifications on file in the office of the
City Clerk, and as provided by and described in Ordinance No. 1059, be and
the same are hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown
in said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improvement,· and that
~·~'~there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part
!~J~thereof and other ProPerty contained in said improvement district as shown in
?~·said roll, including the property belonging to the City of Breme~ton, the
respective amounts in said roll 'set· against each parcel or lot of and/or part
thereof, and other property between the t6rmini of said improvement abutting
upon, adjacent or proximate to said street, 'and such amounts 'so assessed are
hereby declared to be first lien against each parcel or lot of land or part
thereof, against which the same is hereby assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this said improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known and called "Local Improvement
Fund, District No. 138". Bonds shall be issued in serial numbers from One to
both inclusive, or so many as may be necessary to provide Eot the
uncollected portion of said special assessment due or owing in said district on
the date hereinafter fixed, ~the same to be in denominations of Two Hundred
Dollars each, except the first, which shall be for such fractional part of
Two Hundred Dollars as may be remaining due and unpaid on said date, payable
from said "Local· Improvement Fund, District .No. 138".
Section 4. That the 25th day of November, 1935, be and the same is here-
by fixed for the date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to be issued on
account of said improvement.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30)
days from and after its passage and publication as Provided by law.
PASSED by the City Commission, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
