provement District No. 155 under Ordinance No. 1039 providing for the im-
provement of Tenth Street from the west margin of Chester nvenue to the
east margin of Veneta avenue, levying and assessing the cost thereof against
the parcels and lots of land and parts thereof between the termini and within
the boundaries of said street and in sald distrlct as shown by said assess-
ment roll, providing for the collection thereof and fixing the date for the
issuance of the bonds in payment thereof.

Section 1. That the assessment roll for local improvement distrlct
number 135 providing for the improvement of Tenth Street from the west margin
of Chester avenue West to the east margin of Veneta ~venue by clearing,
grubbing, grading, adjustment of sewers and sewer connections and by paving
with one-course concrete pavement twenty-six feet wide and six inches ~hick,
and providin.~ for drainage thereof, together with such other and further work
in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such improvement a com-
plete job, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the
office of the City Clerk, as pro¥ided by Ordinance No. 1059 be and the same
is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof as shown in
said assessment roll is ~pecially benefited by said improvement and that there
be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of lar~d and part thereof
and other property contained in said improvement district as shown in said
roll, including the property belonging to the City of Bremerton, the resp-
ective amounts in said roll set against e~ch parcel or lot of lan~, or part
thereof, an~ other property between the termini of said improvement 'abutting
upon, adjacent or proxiraate to said street, and such amounts so assessed are
hereby declared to be first lien against each parcel or lot of land or part
thereof, against which the same is assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this said improvement, there is here-
by created and established a special fund to be known and called "Local
Improvement Fund, District Ro. 1~5". Bonds shall be issued in serial numbers
from One to both inclusive, or so'many as may be necessary to
provide for the uncollected portion of said special assessment due or owing in
said district on the date hereinafter fixed, the same t'o be in denominations of
One Hundred Dollars each, except the first, which shall be for such fr~ctlonal
part of One Hundred Dollars as may be remaining duel. and unpaid on said date,
payable from said "Local Improvement Funds, District ~o. 135".
Section 4. That the 10th day of July, 19~5, be and the same is hereby
fixed for the date of the issuance a~d sale of the bonds to be issued on

account of said improvement.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty d~ys
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Co~aission, signed by the Mayor and attested by ~he
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 18th day of May, 1935.
