HomeMy WebLinkAbout1060 ORDII~NGE RO. 1060 ~N ORDI~i~CE approving and adopting the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 13~ under ordinance No. 103~ providing for the improvement of High Avenue, Veneta ~venue, Chester ~venue, Seventh Street, l~inth Street, Eleventh Street and Ohio ~venue as in said ordinance described, providing for the levying and assessing the cost thereof against the parcels and lots of land and parts thereof between the termini and within the bound- aries of said district as shown on said assessment roll, providing for the collection thereof and fixing the date for the issuance of the bonds in pay- ment thereof. BE IT 0RD~I~ED BY THE CITY C01'~iISSION OF THE CITY OF BREI~iERTON: Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District Mo. 132 providing for the improvement of High Avenue from the north margin of Sixth Street to the centerline of Eleventh Street; Veneta ~venue from the north end of the present pavement (located midway between Eighth Street and Minth Street) north to the south margin of Eleventh Street; Chester Avenue from the north end of the present pavement (located midway between Eighth Street and Ninth Street) north to the south margin of Eleventh Street; Seventh Street from the west margin of High ~venue west to the east margin of Penn- sylvania Avenue; i~inth Street from the west margin of Chester ~venue west to the east margin of High ~venue; Eleventh Street from ~he east margin of Chester ~venue west to the ~~m~ m~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ centerline of High Avenue and Ohio Avenue from the north ~rgin of Eleventh Street north one hundred twenty tlB0) feet, by clearing, grubbing, grading, altering, adjusting and/or lowering of side sewers and sewer connections and appurtenances where necess- ary; the construction and adjusting of water mains and appurtenances, pro- viding for drainage, the construction and altering of sidewalks, by paving with one course concrete pavement; and Tenth Street from the west margin of Veneta Avenue west to the east margin of High ~venue by construction of lateral sewers and sewer appurtenances, with such other and further work in conn- ection therewith as ~y 'be necessary to make such improvement a complete job, all in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk, as provided by Ordinance I~o. 103£ be and the same is hereby approved and confirmed. Section 2. That each parcel and lot of l~nd or part thereof as shown in said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improvement, and that there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof and other property contained in s~id Improvement District as shown in said roll, including the property belonging to the City of Bremerton, the respective amounts in said roll set against each parcel or lot of land, or part thereof, and other property between the termini of said improvement Ordinanoe No. 1060 (oont) abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said street, and such amounts so assessed are hereby declared to be first lien against, each parcel or lot of land or part thereof, against which the same is assessed in said roll. Section 5. That for the purpose of this said improvement there is hereby created and established a speolal fund to be known and called "Local Improvement Fund, District No. 1~2". Bonds ~mll be issued in serial numbers from One to both inclusive, or so many as ~my bo necessary to provide for the uncollected portion of said special assessment due or owing in said district on the date hereinafter fixed, the same to be in denominations of Two tiundred Dollars each, except ~he first, which shall be for such fractional part of Hundred Dollars as may be reminlng due and unpaid on said date, payable from said "Local Improvement Funds, Distric~ No. 152". Sec~ion 4. That the 10th day of July, 1955 be ann the same is hereby fixed for the date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to be issued onaccount of said improvement. Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days from and after its pass~ge and publicat{on as provided by law.
