AN ORDINANCE amending Section 1 of Ordinance no. 990, entitled "AN ORDINANCE
providing for the zoning of the business district of the City of Bremerton into
three separate fire districts, establishing the limits of each of such districts,
regulating the construction of buildings therein and repealing Ordinances No. 674
and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith", extending
the limits of Fire Zone No. 1.
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section i of Ordinance No. 990, entitled "AN ORDINANCE
providing for the zoning of the business district of the City of Bremerton into
three separate fire districts, establishing the limits of each of such districts,
regulating the construction of buildings therein and repealing Ordinance No. 674
and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith", be amended
to read as follows:
Section 1. All that portion of the City of Bremerton embraced within the
following described limits shall be known and designated as Fire Zone No. l, viz.,
Commencing at the center line at the southern end of Pacific
Avenue, where the said Avenue abutts the U. S. Navy Yard,
thence West along the Southern limits of the City of Bremerton
as now constituted to a point where the U. S. Navy Yard
abutts the West side of Block Eleven (ll) in the original
Town of Bremerton, thence North along the East limits of the
U. S. Navy Yard to Burwell Street, thence continue North
along a line parallel to, and One Hundred Twenty (120) feet
West of the West margin of Pacific Avenue, to the center of
alley between Burwell Street and Fourth Street, thence West ~ ~
along the center of said alley to a point three hundred
ninety-one (391) feet West of the West margin of Pacific
Avenue, thence North along a line parallel to Pacific Avenue
to the center of alley between Fourth and Fifth Street, thence
East along the center of said alley to within one hundred
twenty (120) feet of the West margin of Pacific Avenue, thence
North along th~ line parallel to Pacific Avenue to the center
line of Seventh Street, thence East along the center line of
Seventh Street projected to a point one hundred twenty (120)
feet East of the East margin of Pacific Avenue, thence South
along a line parallel to and one hundred twenty (120) feet
East of the East margin of Pacific Avenue to a point one
hundred twenty (120) feet North of the North margin of
First Street, thence East along a line parallel to First
Street to center of alley between Washington Avenue and the
U. S. Meander line, thence southerly along the center ef
alley to the U. S. Navy Yard, thence Northwesterly and
Westerly along the limits of the U. S. Navy Yard to the
point of beginning.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Commission, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City
Clerk in authentication of such passage this 14th day of November, 1936.
