AN ORDINANCE providing for the selling and conveying the real property here-
in described to the County of Kitsap for airport purposes, providing for reserv-
ations therein, a. nd reversion thereof,
~YfiEREAS, the City of Bremerton is in dire need of an airport, and the
establishment of s~ch an airport within a reasonable distance from said city will
redound to the advantage and benefit of said city and the citizens thereof, and
the County of Kitsap has arranged and is making arrangements for the establish-
ment of such an airport within reasonable distance from the City of Bremerton,
and the property hereinafter described, or a portion thereof, is necessary for
the establishment of such airport; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMI&ISSION OF THE CITY OF BRE~RTON AS FOLLOWS:
Section lo That the following described real estate situated in the County
of Kitsap, State of Washington, to-wit:
The North one-half of the Southwest quarter ( ~ ~
N~SW~) of Sectipn Twenty-one
(21); and the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast 4uarter (NW~ NEy) of
Section ~"hventy-eight (28), Township Twenty-four (24) North, Range One (1)
East of W.M.;
be conveyed to the County of Kitsap for a consideration of One ($1.00) Dollar
and other valuable consideration resulting from the establishment of an airport
thereon, for airport purposes only.
Section 2. That the ~layor and the ~tty Clerk be and they are hereby author-
ized to make, execute and deliver to the County of Kitsap the 'necessary deed of
conveyance to the above described property in the name of the City of Bremerton
upon the payment of One (1.00) Dollar, providing that such deed shall reserve
all right in and to said property to protect the water supply to the City of
Bremerton, and reserving a right-of-way over sR~d property for water mains,
together with the right to go upon said property at any reasonable time to lay,
construct, repair, improve any and all necessary water mains or connections
thereto, and providing that said property shall revert to the City of Bremerton
in the event that the County of Kitsap fails to establish an airport thereon
within one year from the date of said deed, or in the event tha~ sRRd property
is at any time thereafter abandoned for airpomt purposes, and provided further,
that in the preparation of said property for such purposes the County of Kitsap
shall cause necessary drains and drainage thereof to be constructed at its own
expense and made in such manner as to sufficiently proptect the water supply
of the City of Bremerton, and provided further, that outside and surrounding the
cleared portion of such property to be used for airport purposes only the higher
trees and those trees that might interfere with air navigation and landing of
planes shall be cut down or destroyed, and all smaller growth surrounding such

cleared portion that does not interfere with the use of such property for such
purposes shall be left standing.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30)
days from and after its passage as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Commission, signed by the ~ayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 8th day of February, 1936.
