drivers and recuiring photographs and finger-prints of all such drivers to be
filed with the police department before such a license is issued, providing
that such license may be revoked upon the reco~Lmendation of the Chief of ,Police,
offering free photographs and finger-prints by the Police Bureau of Identifica-
tion, providing a penalty for the violation hereof and declaring an emergency~
BE IT ORDAI~ED BY T~ CITY C0~,~&,[ZSSION 0F T~ CI~ OF BREMERTON:
Section 1. That from and after the taking effect of this ordinance each
taxi-cab driver within the City of Bremerton, or who operates a cab herein, shall
have their photographs taken and their f~nger-prints and place the s~e with the
Police Department of the City of Bremerton and it ~s f~ther provided that each
taxi-cab driver shall pay a l~cense of One Dollar ($1.00) semi-annually for the
privilege of dr'iving or operating such taxi-cab before he is permitted to oper-
ate the same within the City of Bremerton; and it is further provided that any
taxi-cab driver may aF~ply to the Police Bureau of Identification and have his
photograph and finger-prints taken free and the same must be at all times left
with such Bureau.
Section 2. That the license of any such driver may be revoked upon the
recoN~endation of the Chief o2 Police, the license shall be issued by the Clerk
of sa~d City, upon proper application and that it is necessary for the safety
and good government of the City of Bremerton that this ordinance take effect
from and after its passage and publication.
Section 3. That any person violating the provisions of this act shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall 'be fined in any
sum not to exceed one hundred ($100.00) dollars or be confined in the city jail
not to exceed thirty (~0) days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
PASSED BY the City Co~ission of the City of ~emerton, signed by the Mayor
and attested by the City Cler~ in authentication thereof this ~9th day of May,1937.
