PORTIONS OF GREENE STREET AND SETTING ASIDE TO ABUTTING
PROPERTY THE SAID VACATED AREAS.
THE CITY C0~E,~ISSI0~ OF THE CITY OF BRELERTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS'
Section 1. This commission having heretofore regularly adopted a resolution
fixing Saturday, May £Rnd, at l0 o'clock A.M. in the Commission Chambers at the City
Hall, City of Bremerton, as the time and place of hearing a certain petition filed
by the owners of the following property in the City of Bremerton, to-wit;
All the property abuttin? on both sides of Pigato
Street, and also the Eas~ one-half of Lot 2 and
~ll of Lots 3,4,5 and the West one-half of Lot 6,
lock 2, Urban's Addition to the City of Bremerton,
to vacate Pigato and Greene Streets;
The property so owned by said petitioners comprising more than two-thirds
of all the property abutting on the said Greene Street as well as all property abut-
ting on Pigato Street; due notice of the said hearing having been duly given in the
manner and form and for the time provided by law, t4e city clerk having posted in
three of the ~most public places in the City of Bremerton, and upon a conspicuous
place on each of sa~d streets, a notice of the said hearin~, the said notice contain-
ing a statement that a petition had been filed to vacate the said streets, together
with a statement of the time and place fixed for the said hearing's, no protests or
objections having been made or filed to the granting of said petition by any abut-
ting property owner of property abutting on any part or portion of said Pigato or
Greene Streets, the City ¢om~ission having duly considered said petition.
NOW,THEREFORE all of Pigato Street in Urban's Addition to the City of Brem-
erton is hereby vacated as a public street; the area within and comprising Pigato
Street is hereby set aside to, aud shall belong to the abutting property owners,
one-half on each side of said street in the manner and form provided by law.
Section 2. That all of Greene Street be and the same is hereby vacated,
except such portion as is necessary to preserve an alley 14 feet wide extending
along the center of said Greene Street west a distance of 113.195 feet to connect
with an alley extending from said point north to 6th Street. The portion of the
sa~d property within the limits of Greene Street lying on each side of said alley,
to-wit, a strip 8 feet wide on each side of said alley which is hereby vacated shall
belong to the abutting property on each side of said street. All of said Greene
Street except the said 14 feet alley hereinbefore described is hereby vacated and
the property within the limits of said portion of said street so vacated shall be-
long to the abutting property owners on each side of said street, one-half thereof
to each in the manner and form provided by law.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be' in full force and effect thirty days
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Cfty Commission, signed by the Mayor and attested by the 0ity
Clerk in authentication of such passage this 26nd day of May, 1937.
