District No. 147 crea~ea ana es~ao±lsnea oy uralnance ~o. ~lo- provialng for the im-
provement of Broadway Avenue, Eighth Street, and Ninth Street, in accordance with the
maps, plans and specifications as in said ordinance described; providing for the levy-
ilng and assessing of the costs and expenses thereof against the parcels and lots of
land between the termini and within the boundaries of said improvement district; pro-
viding for the collection thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor
and fixing the date for the issue of bonds in payment thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COL'~II$SION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 147, pro-
viding for the improvement of Broadway Avenue, Eighth Street, and Ninth Street by clea]
ing, grubbing, grading, and paving with a one-course concrete pavement, six inches
thick and twenty-six feet wide, the construction of concrete curbs; and the construc-
tion of sidewalks on both sides of Ninth Street, from the East margin of Chester Ave-
nue East approximately 130 feet; and both sides of Eighth Street from Broadway Avenue
to Chester Avenue; the adjusting and connection of water mains with connections there-
to, the construction and adjusting of inlets, catch basins, manholes, flush tanks, and
providing for the drainage thereof, togeth r with the doing of any and all other work
as may be necessary to make such improvement a complete Job all in accordance with
the plans and specifications on file in the office of the C~ty Clerk, and as provided
by and described in Ordinance No. ll01, be and the same is hereby in all things ap-
proved and. confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown in said
assess~:ent roll is specially benefited by said improvement, and that there be and
hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof and other
property contained in said improvement district as shown in said roll, including the
property belonging to the City of Bremerton, the respective amounts in said roll set
against each parcel or lot of and/or part thereof, and other property between the ter-
mini of said improvement abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said street, and such
amounts, so assessed, are hereby declared to be first lien against each parcel or lot
of land or part thereof, against which the same is assessed in said roll.
Section 5. That for the purpose of this said improvement there is hereby created
~nd established a'~Special fund to be known and called "Local Improvement Fund, Dis-
trict No. 147". Bonds shall be issued in serial numbers from One to both in-
clusive, or so many as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected portion of said
special assessment due or owing in said~ district on the date hereinafter fixed, the
same to be in denominations or'Two Hundred Dollars each, except the first, which shall
be for such fractional part of Two Hundred Dollars as may be remaining due and unpaid
on said date, payable from said "Local Improvement Fund, District No. 147."
Section 4. That the tenth day of July 1937, be and the smme is hereby fixed for
the date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to be ~'ssued on account of said im-
provement.
Section 5. This ordinence shall be in full force and effect thirty days from and
.fter its passage and publication as provided by law.
