~ ORDINANCE relating to the closing hours of pawn shops and persons engaged
in the business of loaning money.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COI~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON, State of
Washington:
Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association, or
corporation engaged in the business of loaning money, or o~ling, operating or
conducting any place of business where money is loaned, to open said place for
business after the hour of 6:00 o'clock P.I~., or to open said place for business
on Sundays and legal holidays.
Section 2. Every person, firm, association, or corporation guilty of a
violation of Section 1 of this ordina~me, shall be guilty of misdemeanor and shall
be assessed a fine of Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars for each violation thereof;
and each and every hour during which the provisions of Section 1 of this ordinance
are violated, shall be deemed a separate offense hereunder.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect iF~nediately upon its approval
and passage by the City Co~iss].on.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton and approved by the
Mayor this 10th day of ~pril, 19~7.
