HomeMy WebLinkAbout1257 ORDINANCE NO. 1£57 AN ORDINANCE regulating the parking and standing of vehicles within the City of Bremerton, and repealing Ordinance No. 1230 and providing penalties for the violation thereof. THE CITY C0~ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF BR~fERTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. It shall be unlawful to stand a motor vehicle at any location designated for parking or to park a vehicle in any location designated for standing or to park or stand any such vehicle for a greater length of time on any of the streets hereinafter designated or outside the lines, provided therefor, between the hours of 8:00 A.~. and 6:00 P.}~., except Sundays and 7rolidays, to-wit: Pacific Avenue from the ~avy Yard fence to Sixth Street--one-half hour standing only. Washington Avenue from the Navy Yard fence to ffourth Street--one hour parking only. Washington Avenue from Sixth Street North--two-hour standing on the East side only. ffirst Street from Pacific Avenue to City L~arf, one-half hour standing only; and it shall be unlawful to park or stand any automobile on First Street from Pacific Avenue to the entrance of the ~!avy Yard. Second Street between Pacific Avenue and Washington Avenue--one hour stand- ing only. Burwell Street from ~{ashington Avenue to 630 feet West of Pacific Avenue-- one hour standing only. Burwell Street from alley east of ~!avy Yard Hotel to Warren Avenue-- all day parking on South side and all day standing on North side. Fourth Street from Park Avenue to ~ashington Avenue--one hour standing only. ~'ifth Street from Pacific Avenue to Park Avenue--one hour standing only. Section 2. That Ordinance No. 1230 entitled "An ordinance regulating the parking and standing of vehicles within the City of Bremerton, providin~ for installation and use of Park-O-Meters in prescribed areas, providing a penalty for the violation thereof and amending Section 9 of Ordinance 1021" be and it hereby is repealed. Section ~. Any person violating the above ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not to exceed ~100.00 or thirty days in Jail.
