AN OR!)INANCE a_o'provingand adopting the assessraent roll for Local Improvement District
No. 177 under Ordinance No. 1215 providing for the improvement of Hewitt Avenue, Eleventh to
Thirteenth S~reet, in tl~e City of Bremerton, by clearing, grubbing, grading, surfacing, and
construction of sidewalks 5 i'eet wide, the levying and assessing of costs thereof a~inst the
o~rcels and lots of land beSween the termini and within Dhe boundary of said improvement and
providing for the collection thereof, and fixing the da~e for t~e issuance of bonds in payment
thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OO~*~ISSION OF THE CITY ~F BRE~ERTON:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 177, providing
i'or the imorovement of Hewitt Avenue, Eleventh to Thirteenth Street, and as described in Ordi-
nance No. 1215 be and the same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown in said assessment
roll is specially benefited by said improvement, and that there be and hereby is assesBed against
each parcel and lot of land and cart thereof and other property contained in said i~rovement
district as shown in said roll, including the property belon~ing to the City of Bremerton, ~he
resoective amounts in said roll set against each oarcel or lot of and or part thereof, and other
property between the termini of said improvement abutting up. on, adjacent or proximate to said
street, and such amounts so assessed are hereby declared to be first lien against each oarce!
or lot of land or part thereoI, against which the s~e is assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the p~rpose of this said improvement there is hereby created and es-
tablished a special fund to be known and called "Local Improvement Fund, District No.
Bonds shall be issued in serial n~nbers from One to__ both inclusive, or so many as may be
necessary to provide for the uncollected portio~ of said special assessment due or owing in said
district on the date hereinaI'ter fixed, the same be in denominations o£ One Hundred Dollars eac~,
except the i'irst which shall be for such fractional part of One Hundred Dollars as may be re-
maining due and unpaid on said date, payable from said "Local Improvement Fund, No. 177".
Section Q. That the 17th day of October, 1938, be and the same is hereby fixed for the
date oi' the issuance and sale of the bonds to be issued on account of said improvement.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days from and after
its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Commission, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passagB this 24th day of August, 1938.
