AN ORDINANCE approving and adopting the assessment roll for Local Improvement District
No. 176 under Ordinance No. 1214 providing for the improvement of Rainier Avenue from Burwell
Street to First Street, in the City of Bremerton, by clearing, grubbing, grading, construction
of sidewalks 5 feet wide and paving with one cottrse concrete pavement 26 feet wide, together
with the doing oi any and all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make
such imorovenent a comolete job, the levying and~ assessing of costs thereof a~inst the parcels
and lots of land between the termini and within the boundary of said im_orovement and providing
for the collection thereoI~, and fixing the date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMLIISSIO!~ OF THE CITY OF BRk~ERTON:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 176 providing
for the improvement of Rainier Avenue from B~rwell Street to First Street, and as described
in ordinance 12lb is hereby approved and coni~irmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or oart thereof, as shown in said assess-
ment roll is specially benefited by said imorovement, and that there be and hereby is assessed
against each parcel and lot of land aad Loart thereof and other property contained in saia im-
provement district as shown in said roll, including the property belonging to the City of
Bremerton, the resoec~ive amounts in said roll s-~t a~ainst each parcel or lot of and or 9art
thereof, and other property between the ter~aini of said improvement abutting upon, adjacent
or proximate to said sDreet, and such amounts so assessed are hereby declared to be first lien
a~inst each p~rcel or lot of land or part thereoi', against which the same is assessed in said
roll.
Section ~. That for the purpose of tl~is said improvement there is hereby created and
established a special fund ~o be known and called "Local ~nprovemen~ Fund, District No. 176".
Bonds shall be issued in serial numbers from One to boti~ inclusive, or so many as
be necessary to provide the uncollected-portion oi' said Soecial assessment due or owing in said
district on the date l~ereinafter fixed, ~he same be in denominations of One Hundred Dollars
each, exceot ~he l'irst which shall be for such fractional part of One Hundred Dollars as
be :.emaining due and unpaid on said da~e, payable from said "Local Imorovement Fund, No. 1~6".
Section ~. That the l~h day of October, 1935, be and the same is hereby fixed for the
date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to be issued on account of smid improvement.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and ef~'ect thirty days from and ai'~er
its passage and publication as provided by law.
