Home My WebLink About1220 Ordinance No. 1220 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bremerton authorizing the leasing unto the Bremerton Uaseball Club, Inc., a corporation, by the Mayor and attesting by the City clerk, of what is known as the "Roosevelt Field" in Bremerton, Washington, being tracts 4, 5, 6 and 7 in Block 6, and Tracts 1, 2, 9 and l0 in ~lock 5, of Warren Smith's Acre Tracts, and the vacated portions of 17th Street and Broadway Avenue in ~remerton, Washington, according to the terms of said lease this day presented to the City Commission. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C0$~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON. Section 1. That the city of Bremerton is the owner of the above described tract of land known as the "Roosevelt ~'ield", same being a play field and ball park and is desirous of leasing same to the Bremerton Baseball Club, Inc., a corporation for a period of Five (5) years from Six o'clock P.M. during the remainder of the evenings and nights upon the terms and conditions mentioned in said lease, a copy of which when completed shall be left on file with the City Clerk of the city of Bremerton. Section 2. That the said City Commission has this day examined the said lease, hereby authorize the Mayor to sign the same in the name of the City of Bremerton, and the Clerk of the City of Bremerton is also hereby authorized to attest the same and affix the official seal to same, and the said lease is hereby ratified. Section 3. That the said ~remerton Baseball Club, Inc., a corporation agree in said lease to do certain things, among others is installing flood lights, wiring, and installing lights, which may be necessary in the grand stand, and other places agreed on, and to pay the said City of ~remerton a certain stem at stated intervals and in the event that the said Bremerton Baseball Club, Inc., a corporation, fail to keep their part of this agreement in said lease, then and in that event the City Commission hereby reserves the right to cancel said lease by giving said Club thirty (30) days written notice of such intention to cancel same.
