HomeMy WebLinkAbout1306 ORDINANCE NO. 1506 AN ORDINANCE adoPting and confirmingthe assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 201, ~reated and established by Ordinance No. 1253, providing for the improvement of Eighth Street from Roosevelt Avenue to Hewitt Avenue as in said ordinance provided; providing for the levying and assessing of the costs and expenses thereof'against the parcels and lots of land between the termini and within the.boundaries of the said improvement district; providing for the collection thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor, and fixing the date for the issuance of bonds in pay- ment thereof.~ BE IT ORDAIneD BY THE CITY C0~,.ISSION CF THE CITY OF BRE~IERTON AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the assessment roll for L0oal I~provement District No. 201, providing for the improvement of Eighth Street from Roosevelt Avenue to Hewitt Avenue by clearing, grubbing, grading and paving with concrete as set forth in the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk, providing for drainage, together with any and all other' work necessary to make a complete job, all in .accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk, and as provided by and~ described in Ordinance No. 1253, be and the same is hereby approved and confirmed. Section 2. That each parcel and lot 0f land or phrt thereof, as shown in said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improvement, and that there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof and other property contained in said improvement district as shown~tn said roll, including the property belonging.to.the City of Bremerton, the respective amounts in said roll set against each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, and o~her property between the termihi of said improvement abutt- ing upon, adjacent or proximate to said'street, and such amounts, so assessed, are hereby declared to be a first lien against ~ach parcel or lot of land or part thereof, against which the s~le is assessed in satd~roll. Section 3. That for the purpose of this said improvement there is hereby created and established a special fund to be known and called "Local Improvement Fund, District No. 201." Bonds shall be issued in serial numbers from One to both inclusive, or so many as may be necessary to provide for 'the uncollected-- portion of said special assessment due or owing in said district on the date hereinafter fixed, the same to-be in denominations of Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars each,· exc~ept the first, which shall be for such fractional part of Two Hundred Dollars as may be remaining due and unpaid on said date, payable from said "Local Improvement Fund, District No. 201." Section 4. That the 10th day of February, 1940, be and the same is hereby fixed for the date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to.be issued on account Qf said improvement. Section 5. This ordinance shall.be in full force and effect thirty days from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
