AN ORDINANCE finding that public emergencies exist in the City of Bremerton, which
could not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1939,
which require the expenditure of moneys from the Current Expense ~ond, Parks and Playfields
Fund, City Street Deoartment Fund, Library ~uud and City Hall Fund of the City of Bremerton,
estimating the respective amounts to meet such emergencies, providing for the appropriation
of funds therefor, and declaring said emergencies to exist.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMNISSION OF THE CITY OF BR~vIERTON, as follows:
Section 1. The City Co~uission of the City of Bremerton finds that emerg~ncies exist
in the City ef Bremerton, in that the eXPendit~mes hereinafter listed are necessary for the
preservation of public health and safety, and that said exp. endit~es could not reasonably
have been foreseen and were not foreseen at the time of making the budget of the City of
Bremerton for the year 1939.
Section 2. The City Co~i ssi on of the City of Bremerton hereby declares that said~
emergencies e:dst and require the expenditure of a~_proxtmately $5200.00 from the Ourrent
Expense Fund, $1500.00 from the Parks and Playfields F'~ud, $1000.00 from the City Street
Department Fund, $?50.00 from the Library Fund, and $2000.00 from the City Hall ~d,
which expenditures are segregated as follows:

Section 3. That the sum of $5200.00 for current expense, $1500.00 i'or Parks and
Playfields, $1000.00 for City Street Department, $Y50.00 for Library expenses and $2000.00
for City Hall alteration expenses, be and the said sums are hereby appropriated and the City
01erk be and he is hereby authorized and directed .tO draw emergency warrants upon the re-
spective funds herein en~u~erated tq pa~. s~id emergency expenses.
Section ~. Introduced and read. at the regular meeting of the City Oommission on the 5th
day of July, 1939, and by reg~**tar motion duly made and unanimously passed, hearing on the
adoption of this ordinance was set for the 15th day of July, 1939, at 10 o'clock A.M. at the
Commission Chambers iu the City Hall of the 0ity of Bremerton, at which time any taxpayer may~
appear and be heard for or a~inst the adoption hereo~.
Adopted at the regular meeting of the City Co,remission, by unanimous vote of the three
City 0ommissioners, si~aed by the Uayor and attested by the Oily Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 15th day of July, 1939.
