AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local
Improvement District No. 184, created and established by Ordinance No. 1~9,
providing for the improvement of Ninth Street from Olympic Avenue to Eontgomery
Avenue; Tenth Street from Olympic Avenue to Rainier Avenue; Eleventh Street
from Naval Avenue to Rainier Avenue; Rainier Avenue from Ninth Street to Eleventh
Street and Eleventh Street from Naval Avenue to Olympic Avenue, as in said
ordinance described; providing for the levying and assessing of the costs and
expenses thereof against the parcels and lots of land between the termini and
within the boundaries of said improvement district; providing for the collection
thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor and fixing the date for
the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON AS FOLLOVS:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No.
184, providing for the improvement of Ninth Street from Olympic Avenue to
Montgomery Avenue; Tenth Street from Olympic Avenue to ~ainier Avenue; Eleventh
Street from Naval Avenue to Rainier Avenue; Rainier Avenue from Ninth Street to
Eleventh Street and Eleventh Street from Naval Avenue to Olympic Avenue, by the
construction of storm and sanitary sewers and appurtenances: and clearing,
grubbing, grading, construction of concrete sidewalks five feet wide and con-
struction of concrete paving thirty feet wide on Eleventh Street from Naval Avenue
to Olympic Avenue, providing for the drainage thereof, together with the doing of
any and all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such
improvement a complete job, all in accordance with the, plans and specifications
on file in the office of the City Clerk, and as provided by and described in
Ordinance No. 12£9, be and the same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof as shown in
said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improvement, and that there
be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof
and other property contained in said improvement district as shown in said roll,
including the property belonging to the City of Bremerton, the respective amounts
in said roll set against each parcel or lot of and/or part thereof, and other
property between the termini of said improvement abutting upon, adjacent or prox-
imate to said street, and such amounts so assessed, are hereby declared to be
first lien against each parcel or lot of land or part thereof, against which the
same is assessed in said roll.
Section 5. That for the purpose of this said improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known and called "Local Improvement
Fund, District No. 184." Bonds shall be issued in serial numbers from One to _
both inclusive, or so many as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected-
portion of said special assessment due or owing in said district on the date
hereinafter fixed, the same to be in denominations of Two Hundred Dollars each,
except the first, which shall be for such fractional part of Two Hundred Dollars
as may be remaining due and unpaid on said date, payable from said "Local Improve-
ment Fund, District No. 184."
Section 4. That the 2nd day of March, 1939, be and the same is hereby fixed
for the date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to be issued on account of
said improvement.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Commission, signed by the ~ayor and attested by the City
Clerk in authentication of such passage this 7th day of January, 1939.
