AN ORDINANCE amending Section 203 of Ordinance No. 1418 of the City of
Bremerton, kno~rn as the "Bremerton Building Code." THE CITY OP BRE~TON ~ES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 205 of Ordin~ce No. 1418 of the City of Bremerton,
~o~ as the "Bremerton Building Code" be ~d the said Section 205 is hereby
~ended to read as follows:
Sec. 203. Any person desiring a building pe~it shall, at ~e time
of filing an application therefor, as provided in Sec. 201 of ~is
Code, pay to the Building Inspector a fee as required in t~s section.
(Value of Improvement: Fee for Building Pe~it:
From $1. to $100. O0 $ 1. O0
Up to 800. O0 ~. O0
Up to 1000. O0 8. O0
Up to 1500. O0 6.50
Up to 2000.00 8.00
~d an additional fee of $~.00 for each additional ~1000.00 or fraction
thereof of total v~uation to ~d including $50 , 000. 00 ; ~d ~ additional
fee of $2.00 for each additional $1000.00 or fraction thereof of total
valuation to and including ~100, 000. 00; ~d ~ additional fee of ~1.00
for each additional $1000.00 or fraction thereof of total valuation
exceeding $100,000.00.
~e Building Inspector shall dete~ine ~e estimated valuabion in all
cases, and for such p~poses he sh~l be guided by approved estimating
practices.
~ere work for which a pe~it is required by this Code is (altered)
or proceeded wi~ prior to obtaining said pe~it, the fees above
specified sh~l be doubled, but the pa~ent of such double fee shall
not relieve any persons from fully complying with ~e requirements of
this Code in the execution of the work nor from ~y o~er penalties
pre s c ri bed .he re in.
The Building Inspector shall keep a pe~anent, accurate accost of
all fees ~d other monies collected ~d received ~der this Code,
~e n~es of the persons upon whose accosts (payments were made),
the dates ~d ~ounts thereof, toge~er ~th the location of the
building or premises to which they relate.
Section 2. ~at ~ ~ergency exists affecti~ ~e public peace, health
~d safety, ~d this ordin~ce shall t~e effect i~ediately following passage
~d publication.
