HomeMy WebLinkAbout1346 AN ORDINANCE'changing the map of the City of Bremerton, Washington. THE CITY C0~.~ISSION 0F THE CITY 0F BREMF~RTON DOES ORDAIN AS. FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Housing Authority of the City of B~emerton has under- taken a low-rent housing project in order that dwellings may be available for persons engaged in national defense activities at the t~uget Sound Navy Yard. Section £. That said project is to be located on the site hereinafter described because of the necessity for accessibility of said project to the sai Puget Sound Navy Yard, which site adjoins but is outside of the city limits the City of Bremerton. Section 3. That the Housing Cooperation law of the State of ~shington authorizes the City of Bremerton to change its maps to include the said site within the city limits, and it is necessary and advisable on account of the national defense emergency and for the proper and adequate housing of persons engaged in national defense activities that the said site be included within th. City of Bremerton. Section 4. That the map of the 0ity of Bremerton be and the same is hereb cha~ed to include the following described real property: All of Lots 1 to 7 inclusive and 8 to 14 inclusive, of the Plat of Fernwood, situated in the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter, Section 21, Township 24, N.~.i.E.W.M. and a tract o~ land in the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of said Section 21 more particularly described as follows: 'Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Northwest quarter of North- east quarter and r~ning thence South 89o46'48" W. 272.21 feet to the East boundary of County Road ~32, thence along said County Road ,~32, E. 35o04' E. S,57 feet; thence S. 40°26'20'' E. 406.28 feet; thence N. 0°40'44'' E. 317.~0 to place of beginning; also the. Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 16, Township 24 N.R.1.E.W.M. And all of that portion of the Southwest ouarter-of the Southeast quarter of said Section 16, lying East of County Road ~32 and all of that portion of Govt. Lot 4 of said Section 16, lying E. of County Road ~2 and South of State Highway ~21 and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said ~vt, Lot 4 and running S. 89o43'27" W. 1029.45 feet to centerline of said County Road ~2 thence following said County Road N. 9°59'20'' W. 288.91 feet; thence N. 24°24'40'' E. 621.~7 feet to the intersection with State Road ;~21; thence follo~ng said State Road Southeasterly along a 6© curve, whose radius is 955 feet, a distance of 3~0.40 feet to Station P.C. 84~.80; thence S. 69o52'30" E. 551.49 feet to the East boundary of said Govt. Lot 4; thence S. 0°01'17" E 568.99 feet to place of beginning, Except- ing therefrom a strip 20 feet wide along the %?esterly boundary for County Road ;~32 and a strip 50 feet wide along the Northerly boundary for State Road ~21; also all of Govt. Lot 5 of said Section 16, lying South of State Road ~21 and more particularly described as follows': Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Govt. Lot 5, running thence N. 0°16'54'' W. 310 feet to the intersection of centerline of State Road //21 at Station 64,94.68' t~.0.T.; thence following said centerline of State Road S. 80o18'30" W. 337.90 feet to a 10~ curve to the right, whose distance is 318.20 feet; thence N. 87°52'~0'' W. 731.51 feet to the West line of said Govt. Lot 5, at Station 78~82.30; thence S. 0°01'1~'' E. 568.99 feet; thence N. 89°4~'27" E. 1324.~0 feet to place of beginning, excepting therefrom a strip of land 50 feet wide along the N. boundary for State Road ~21. Section 5. An emergency exists and this ordinance is necessary for the i~ediate preservation of public peace, health and safety in the City of Bremerton, and for the purposes of national defense, and the same shall take effect immediately after its passage and publication.
