AN ORDINANCE amending Section 5 of Ordinance No. 910, by prohibiting hawkin
in the business sections of the City of Bremerton.
THE CITY COM~ISSION 0F THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 5, of Ordinance No. 910, of the City of Bremerton
be and the said section is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 5. License fee for hawker in prohibited areas.
That the license fee to be paid by any person desiring
to engage in the business of hawker as defined in '
Section 2 of this ordinance, shall be $10.00 per dar,
or if the license sought to be procured is for the
period of one month, the license fee shall be $100.00
per month; provided however, that no license shall be
granted for a longer period than one month~ and provided
further, that any and all persons securing hawkers' licenses
as provided in this ordinance, shall not interfere with
traffic in the City of Bremerton, and the Chief of Police
or any police officer of the City of Bremerton shall have
the absolute right to refuse permission to any hawker to
hawk upon any of the city streets or sidewalks; and pro-
vided further, that it shall be a misdemeanor for any
person (whether or not he shall have an hawker's license)
to hawk, as herein defined, in the following areas in
the City of Bremerto~:
(al Beginning at the Northwest corner of Sixth Street
and Park Avenue, thence along the north margin of Sixth
Street East to the northeast corner of Sixth Street and
Washington Avenue; thence Southerly along the East margin
of Washington Avenue to the Southeast corner of First
Street and Washington Avenue; thence West along the South
margin of Front Street to the boundary of the Puget Sound
Navy Yard; thence North along the East boundary of the
Puget Sound Navy Yard to the South margin of Burwell
Street; thence West along the South marEin of Burwell
Street to a point due South of the point of beginning;
thence North to the point of beginning.
(b) An area described as follows: Callow Avenue from
First Street to Sixth Street, and Sixth Street from Callow
Avenue North, along Sixth Street to Rainier Avenue, includ-
ing all streets intersecting said portions of said Callow
Avenue and said Sixth Street, a distance of 100 feet back
from all street corners.
(c) An area described as follows: Farragut Street from
Cambrian Avenue to Callow Avenue, including all streets,
intersecting said portions of said Farragut Street and
said Cambrian and Callow Avenues, a distance of 100 feet
back from all street corners.
Passed by the City Co~mission of the City o~ Bremerton, signed by the
~!ayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this
