AN ORDINANCE declaring an emergency to exist on account of the necessity
for full completion of repairs and alterations of the City Hall, ahd securing
'additional furnishings therefor, and apprcpriating funds to meet such emergency.
THE CITY C0~A~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BR~,,~iERTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a public emergency exists in the City of Bremerton, which
could not reasonably have been £oreseen at the time of making the budget for
the year 1940, in that, the amount appropriated for, and amounts in addition
thereto, heretofore expended in connection with the repairing and remodeling of
the City [~all, have been inadequate to do a complete job, and it is inmediately
necessary for the convenience of the city employees and the general public and
for the proper conduct of the business of the City of Bremerton to fully complet~
all necessary repairs to the entire structure and purchase certain necessary fur~
fixtures, and equipment to be used therein, rather than allow the same to remain
in its present partially completed condition, and approximately $12,000.00 more
than the amount set up in the 1940 budget and additional amounts heretofore
expended during the year 1940, will be necessary in order to complete such repai~
and remodeling and to purchase such additional furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Section 2. That the sum of ~12,000.00, or so much thereof as shall be
reeuired to meet such emergency, is hereby appropriated and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and directed to issue emergency warrants not exceeding the said
sum in payment of the expense occasioned by such emergency.

PASSED unanimously by the City Commission of the City of Bremert~n on final
reading, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
