AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local
Improvement District No. 195, created and established by Ordinance No. 1258,
providing for the improvement of ~arguerite Avenue from Eleventh Street North
to a point 302.02 feet North of Thirteenth Street, as in said ordinance pro-
vided; providing for the levying and assessing of the costs and expenses
thereof against the parcels and lots of land between the termini and within
the boundaries of the said improvement district; providing for the collection
thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor, and fixing the
date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CONLMISSION OF THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No.
195, providing for the improvement of Marguerite Avenue from Eleventh Street
North to a point 302.02 feet North of Thirteenth Street, by the construction
of a system of storm and sanitary sewers and appurtenances, as set forth in
the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk, together
with any and all other work necessary to make a complete Job, all as provided
by and described in Ordinance No. 1258A, be and the same is hereby approved
and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown
in said assessment roll, is specially benefited.by said improvement, and that
there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land, and part
thereof, and other property contained in said improvement district as shown
in said roll, including the property belonging to the City of Bremerton, the
respective amounts in said roll set agaiust each parcel and lot of land or
part thereof, and other property between the termini of said improvement abutt-
ing upon, adjacent or proximate to said .street, and such amounts, so assessed,
are hereby declared to be a first lien against each parcel or lot of land or
part thereof, against which the same is assessed in said roll.
Section 3.. That for the purpose of this said improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known and called "Local Improve-
ment Fund, District No. 195." BOnds shall be-issued in serial numbers from
One to , both inclusive, or so many as may be necessary to provide for
the uncollected portion o2 said special assessment due or owing in said
district on the date hereinafter fixed, the same to be in denominations of
Two Hundred Dollars each, except the first, which shall be .for such fractional
part of Two Hundred Dollars as may be remaining' due and unpaid on Said date,
payable from said "Local Improvement Fund, District No. 195."
~ection 4. That the 10th day of June, 1940, be and the same is hereby
fixed for the date of the issuance and sale of the bonds to be issued on
account of said improvement.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Cbmmission, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication Of such passage, this 13th day of April, 1940.
