AN ORDINANCE declaring an emergency to exist on account of necessary
repairs to the City Hall, and appropriating funds to meet such emergency.
THE CITY C0~I$SION OF THE CITY OF BREN~RTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section i. That a public emergency exists in the City of Bremerton
which could not reasonably have been foreseen at t~e time of making the
budget for the year 1940, in that the roof of the City Hall is leaking and
must be repaired and other repairs and alterations to the City Hall are
immediately necessary in order to enable the space therein to be utilized
to ~he best advantage by the officers of the City of Bremerton and the
general public, and approximately $3,500.00 more than the amount set up
in the 1940 budget for repairs to the City Hall will be necessary in order
to complete the repairs under way at the present time.
SeCtion 2. That the sum of $3,500.00, or so much thereof as shall be
required to meet such emergency, is hereby appropriated and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to issue emergency warrants not exceed-
ing the said sum in payment of the expense occasioned by such emergency.
APPROVED unanimously by the City Commission on first reading, February
7, 1940.
PASSED unanimously by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton on
final reading, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authen-
tication of such passage, thisZ~th day of February, 1940.
