AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local
Improvement District No. 215, created and established by Ordinance No. 1542
providing for the improvement of High Avenue North from Eleventh Street a
distance of 2452 feet, as in said ordinance provided; providing for the levy-
ing and assessing of the costs and expenses thereof against the parcels and
lots of land between the termini and within the boundaries of the said
improvement district; providing for the collection thereof; creating and
establishing a special fund therefor, and fixing the date for the issuance of
bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY COM~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No.
ZlS, providing for the improvement of High Avenue North from Eleventh Street
a distance of £432 feet, by clearing, grubbing, grading and paving with
concrete six (6) inches thick and thirty (50) feet wide also the construction
of concrete sidewalks four (4) inches thick and four (45 feet wide, together
with the doing of any and all other work necessary to make a complete job, all
in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the office of the
City Clerk and as provided by and described in Ordinance Bo. 154~ A, be and
the same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown
in said assessment roll, is specially benefited by said improvement, and
that there be and hereby is assessed against each parcel and lot of land
and part thereof and other property contained in said improvement district
as shown in said roll, including the property belonging to the City of
Bremerton, the respective amounts~ in said roll set against each parcel and
lot of land or part thereof, and other property between the termini of said
improvement abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said street, and such
amounts, so assessed, are hereby declared to be a first lien against each
parcel or lot of land, or part thereof, against which the same is assessed
in said roll.
Section 5. That for the purpose of this improvement, there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known as "Local Improvement Fund,
District No. ~15." Bonds shall be issued to provide for the uncollected
portion of said special assessment due or owing in said district o~ the
date of issuance of said bonds, which said bonds shall be in denominations of
20000 each, except the first, which shall be for such fractional part of
200~00 as may be remaining due and unpaid on said date, and which said bonds
shall be payable from said Local Improvement District ~o. 213.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the
Mayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this
third day of December, 1941.
