An ordinance establishing the number, size and position of exit fac-
ilities of buildings providing for their construction and protection, so
as to protect life form fire, smoke or panic, provid%ng a standard plan
of exits for buildings; repealing all ordinances and/or parts of ordinances
in conflict therewith.
THE CITY C0k~ISSION OF THE CITY OF BRENERTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a certain document, three copies of which are on file
in the office of the City Clerk o~ the City of Bremerton, being marked and
designated as a Building Exits Code, Sixth Edition, 1939, of the National
Fire Protection Association and as the same may be amended; be, and the same
hereby is, adopted as the Building Exits Code of the City of Bremerton, pro-
viding for the number,, size and position of exit facilities of buildings for
construction and protection; protecting life from firs, smoke or panic and
establishing a standard system of building exits in the City of Bremerton;
and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms cont-
ained therein are hereby referred to, adopted and amde a part hereof as
though fully set out in this Ordinance.
Section 2. That all Ordinances' end/or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith be, and the same hereby are, repealed.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall keep on file in his office at least
three Copies of such Building Exits Code and amendments for the use of the
public and as reference and shall provide for such additional copies f~r sale
or distribution to such persons interested as shall be.determined by the
City Commission.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in force end effect thirty days
after its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Commission, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 22nd day of October 1941.
