HomeMy WebLinkAbout1405 ORDINANCE NO. 1~05 AN ORDINANCE establishing and fixing the boundaries of voting precincts in the City of Bremerton, and designating the mnnber of each of said precincts, and repealing Ordinance No. 100 No. 1193 and No. 1363, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith and declaring an emergency. THE CITY COmmISSION OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That from and after the effective date of this ordinance, there shall be thirty three (33) voting preciacts in the City of Bremerton, which said precincts shall be known and sh have boundaries as set forth in Section 2 of this ordinance. Section 2. That the numbers by which each of the said precincts shall be designated, togetl with the boundaries of each of said precincts, shall be as follows: Precinct No. 1. Beginning at the center line of Pacific Avenue and Burwell Street; thence West along Burwell Street 126.5 feet to a point 30 feet North of Northwest corner of Lot 23, Block 13; Original Town of Bremerton. Said Northwest Block corner being the Northeast corner to U. S.'Government N. Y.; thence South and East and Southeasterly following U. S. Govt. N. Y. Boundary to its intersection with the U. S. Govt. meander line. Thence following U. S. Govt. meander line Northeasterly to the centerline of Fourth Street, extended East; thence Northwesterly along Fourth Street to the Center line of ~ashington Avenue; thence Southwesterly along "ashington Avenue to the center line of Burwell Street; thence Northwesterly and West along Burwell Street to the center line of Pacific Avenue and the point of beginning. Beginning at Ninth Street snd Ford Avenue; thence East to center line of Lafayette Avenue; thence South to the center line of First Street; thence following the city limits westerly to Oyster Bay Avenue; thence North along Oyster Bay Avenue to its intersection with meander line in Oyster Bay; thence continuing along the city limits line Easterly to the point of beginning at Ninth Street and Ford Avenue. Precinct No. 30. All that portion of the City of Bremerton known as Westpark, lying west of Oyster Bay Avenue. Precinct No. 31. All that part of the City of Bremerton lying East of Hayward Avenue and South of Northerly city limits. Precinct No. 32. All that part of the Ci~ty of Bremerton lying West of Hayward Avenue and South of the center line of East Sixteenth Street. Precinct No. 33, All that part of the City of Bremerton lying North of the center line of East Sixteenth Street. Section3. Ordinance No. lOC1, Ordinance No. 1193, Ordinance No. 1363, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances of the City of Bremerton, in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed. Section ~. That an emergency exists and this ordinance is immediately necessary for the preservation of public peace, health and safety in the City of Bremerton, and shall take effect immediately upon final passage and publication.
